It's my experience that the contacts down at the bottom of the battery compartment corrode easily. Clean them with electronic contact cleaner and a swab and they should work again - for a while.

not to sure where to buy parts other then from a dealer. i also had this same gun and had the thing happen to me with the plastic assembley if i was you i would just spend the extra money and get Stanley Bostitch guns, or Senco guns, and get ride of the porter cable guns because they are built cheap. but if you must keep this gun you can check www.deltaportercable.com for parts
SOURCE: spare parts for Vice Versa Coffee
Hi there, As far as i am aware all the vice versa places do not carry spares for the koala machines anymore. Im in scotland and tried, UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain and a couple of other with no luck whatsoever. I am a domestic coffee machine engineer and over the past few months have picked up some koala machines from here and there. If you contact David at [email protected] and let me know what it is you are after, i can see if i have it and get it sent out to you at best prices and cheap postage. Don't worry i distribute worldwide and have had no problems so far. Let me know what you think.
All the best
David

Take the tripod to a local hardware store and have them help you find the proper size replacement bolt
SOURCE: Thermos Vacuum Bottle Stopper No. 781
1/16/12 - Go to widgetco.com like I just did. Order a rubber stopper size 10 and/or a cork stopper #26. That way you'll have a back up should you lose one or the other. You'd think the thermos people would offer this as a possible solution rather than simply telling people that the thermos is discontinued in hopes that you'll buy another.
Customer service IS everything and some companies like thermos just don't get it. Cost for 1 rubber and 2 cork stoppers including shipping was around $11. Cheaper than a new thermos and adding to the landfill. Good luck.
