I DID SOME MORE RESEARCH ON LINE AND FOUND THAT I NEEDED TO RESET THE RECEIVER CHANNEL FIRST BY PUSHING THE UP/DOWN BUTTONS ON THE FRONT OF THE NAVIGO 401 RECEIVER. tHEN PUSHED THE "SAT" BUTTON ON THE REMOTE UNTIL ALL FOUR BUTTONS FLASHED ON AND OFF.. WITH THE RECEIVER ON, THEN I PUSHED THE CODE FOR THE CHANNEL, (EG: 001, 002, 003) PROBLEM SOLVED. THANKS FOR YOU INTERST IN LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION. I HAD TRIED JUST SETTING THE REMOTE TO NO AVAIL, THEN TRIED SETTING THE CHANNEL ON THE RECEIVER FIRST AND IT WORKED.

How do I open toshiba ct-90287 case to dry buttons

I guess this is a remote control.

Remove the batteries and look around including inside the battery cover for any small screws.

Remove all screws - Even If there isn't any screws.

You need a fairly wide but thin flat bladed screwdriver to split the case. Place the blade of the screwdriver between the two casings of the remote control and gently twist the blade and the case will begin to split apart. work it loose - but don't foce it apart. Apply even pressure around the remote control with the blade of the screwdriver.

Once you have seperated the two halves - clean the rubber buttons with either Meths or Isopropyl Alcohol and also clean the circuit board with the same where the buttons make contact with the circuit board. Then reassemble. Your control should then be ok!

I accidentally drop milk on the remote control, and now its not working, what can i do

Remove the batteries from the remote, then gently pry apart the plastic casing. Be careful with this so you don't break the tabs which hold it together. Look for slots at the seam where they join and apply pressure there with a flat screwdriver or knife.

Be VERY aware how it fits together as it comes apart. You will need to reassemble it after all. You will probably have a rubber pad or similar that fits into the upper casing that acts as the buttons. Under this rubber piece will be a circuit board with contacts on it. Clean any milk or other residue you can find on this board using a Q-tip moistened with rubbing alcohol. Do NOT use water in here at any time. The alcohol will dry very quickly and prevent unwanted issues after reassembly. Stubborn gunk can be removed using a pencil eraser if necessary, followed by the Q-tip/alcohol treatment. Once it completely clean, carefully reassemble and replace batteries.

Cross fingers and test. If you are lucky the remote will function as normal. Otherwise it is permanently damaged and must be replaced.

How do you clean a keyboard from an ASUS laptop without breaking the mechanism?

Compressed air works well, blow it sideways across the keyboard, so that particles are not blown into the laptop.

If the keys needs cleaning, use a alchol soaked cloth and wipe light over the keys.

How to dry remote control dropped in water

Obtain some electrical contact cleaner. This is an Isopropyl alcohol spray specifically made for cleaning electronics that will not leave any residue. Remove the batterys from the remote. using a very small screwdriver, carefully pry apart and separate the two plastic shells that make up the remote body. You want to spray the circuit board liberally with the cleaner on both sides to remove all water and water borne minerals. The spray will dry quickly by itself with no residue. Reassemble the remote when the board is completely dry. I just used this technique on a key fob remote for my car that had gone through the washer and dryer and it works just fine and I saved $90.
