BN44-00444A power supply

Trying to fix the relay clicking with no video. Upon power up with no load (Y board and X board disconnected), the Vs indicates high 300+ volts but then bleeds off to eventually zero. The Va does the same thing, starts a 100+ volts then bleeds off to zero. Is this normal?

What do you mean? Do I just need to replace the main power supply or is there potentially many more issues with the TV?

Samsung plasma power supply relays cycle several tmes then stop and front red standby led double blinks 5 times repeatedly.

This sound like an issue with the x-main board, if you unhook the power cable going from the power supply to the y-main board and you get VA and VS voltages there is about a 95% chance of the power board working ok, both the x and y main boards in this model set gave issues, one problem is going to be finding a board at a decent price, you can troubleshoot the board yourself, it's generally the mos-fet's that short, the ones that are attached to the heat sink. If you find some bad, replacement parts can be obtained from Mouser for a few bucks, they're easy to change with a soldering iron and some solder wick or sucker

Panasonic th-50px60u clicks every 3 seconds from relay on power board

Pull the back off and see if you can see some bulged capacitors if your comfortable doing this, another issue could be bad solder joints on one of the boards, you could try baking each board starting with the power supply board in the oven to see if this corrects it, there are vids on youtube that tell how to bake the boards.

Is there a protection mode for this lcd visio tv that can be removed for this tv to come on ?

Hello Donald the first thing I would like to Know what the model number of your TV is. But that's ok if you have a external power supply you could try this .Make Shure your TV is not pug In to the Ac outlet. We are going to see if you have a short or a load on your 12v line. Ok you wont to unplug the 12v source from the power supply board. Fine out what pin is the 12v's. Connect your external power source to that pin, apply the 12v and see if it is drawing to much current. If so check the boards for any very hot items. If you have a problem on the 12v line. This will find the part that is loading it down. This is the old way of finding a load on a power source. I hope this will help some. P.S make Shure there is no AC connect to the TV as you do this test and you have the plug off of the power supply board before using the external power source.

How to test the 4 output powersupply on the un55b8500 led tv

First, inspect the electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board. The top of a burned-out capacitor is often domed instead of flat. You may measure proper voltage with no load, but the bad capacitor will not support a load. (Note: the voltages are usually printed on the board next to the output connector.) The page linked below includes a nice illustration of both good and bad capacitors. Also, check the LED driver board for the same problem. If you don't see anything like that, add a comment to the post to that effect, and we'll look at other possibilities.

I have a 50" Plasma. I am not sure of the model#. I had watched the the tv with no issues last night, but now when i try and turn it on. it just clicks back off. Had a friend tell me it might be the "power...

This could be a fault in the power, but there could also be a fault on the Y or Z Sustain boards or possibly a fault in the control board. You would need to disconnect the feed line to to Y-sustain board & check if you Vs & Va voltages are present & if this stops the TV from clicking off, if yes then suspect the sustain or buffer board which drives the screen. If no then check which voltages on the power supply, you probably hear the relay on the power supply clicking as there may be no response back from the control board at start up, which could be the problem

Open the back cover and disconnect the Y - Board Vs plug from the Power Supply board. Check the Vs voltage in Power Supply board when turn on the tv. If the Vs voltage is there, it means the power supply is good and try to replace the Y-Board. Otherwise, try to replace the Power Supply board. If your tv is still in warranty, just let the warranty depot shop fix tv for you.

42pf7321d/37 phillips plasma tv

i am familiar with this power supply in philips models. this fault code on the psu refers to a fault within Vscan circuitry. you will be unable to check correct voltages as the set is in protection mode.

you can disconnect the Y-Sus board(to the left of the psu) and if the led stops flashing you can almost guarantee the Y-Sus pcb is faulty!
