Five long beeps for a modern motherboards indicates a processor failure. If you wish to remove the processor and re-seat it (reconnect it to see if it begins to work again) make sure to get some thermal compound to put between the CPU chip and the heatsink. The C:13:01 error code is the self diagnosis display of the camera to identify the cause of the issue with the Camera. This error code indicates the issue with the medium used in the Camera. You can try few steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Try using different Memory Stick in the Camera.
Make sure that the Memory Stick used is compatible with the Camera. (The maximum capacity that can be used in the Camera is of 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo.)
Format the Memory Stick in the Camera and check if it works. (Formatting the Memory Stick will delete all the files saved in it).
This may happen if the files in the Memory Stick is damaged or corrupted.
Try turning the camera power off and on.
Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick several times.
Insert another Memory Stick in the Camera to check if the issue is with the particular Memory Stick.
Try resetting the Camera and check if it helps. To reset the Camera, press the RESET button located inside the jack cover using a sharp pointed object.
If the issue happens with different Memory Sticks after performing all the steps, service may be required.
Remove some pictures from the memory stick Or copy them to your computer. Actually your memory stick is full. If you have no memory stick in the cam then purchase a new one for it. The cam memory is not enough to store many pictures.
If it says there is a memory card error it means there is a problem with the memory card or the capacity of the memory card is too much for the camera if u have tried using a diffrent memory card and the camera is compatible with it that says that the camera is defective
Try using another memory stick, or insert a confirmed good memory stick, if OK, the memory stick is defective, if the same error, try pressing reset at the back of camera, a small hole beside the the DC jack. if OK, then fine, if still the same, camera needs repair. thanks
This is a computer error.
Check images are there in the camera by looking at the review screen.
Then check you have not 'locked' the stick or 'protected' images
turn off the protected then try
Download PC Inspector from www.convar,com
run the stick through this program- if the images are there it will find them
But of course no images may have been recorded
Sony Tech Help Team will tell you more about the meaning of 'Access'
but it won't let me format
