How do you get the drive shaft out of the pole on a stihl 101 pole saw?

Bought brand new! I saved up for this product for awhile since they are pretty pricey. I also own acreage in the Midwest so this tool is much needed. I owe 2 older stihl chainsaws and fs70 trimmer. I work sometimes 70-80 hours a week so anytime I have on the weekends to clean up tree damage from storms, etc is precious.

I have a stihl pole saw ht101. The saw starts fine and runs for a minute or two, then loses power. What ido I check?

If you mean the engine is losing power your more than likely have a restriction in the exhaust. The sut from the two stroke mix builds up and restricts the exhaust gases. Hence looses power. Happened to me lots of times

The switch of the saw is not working 00

You need an AC voltmeter to trace the problem with the switch. It can also be a bad motor brush/spring--these saws are great for killing motor brushes, and there are virtually no replacements available as Remington has ceased saw operations. If it is a bad brush, visit an electrical tool shop to see if they have something that will work from a different brand of tool. Good luck!
