why don't you check the DC bank capacitors, you may need to replace them

smps involves ac to dc and dc-dc switching at high frequency because the type of a transformer in smps is a high frequency transformer and a current gain due to the ferrite application.to do a dc to dc switching you need a mosfet,smps ic e.g uc3845,dc capacitor and some passive components.

Mike Decamp is clueless. That is not a answer. The UPS has large DC capacitors. These do go bad over time. The capacitors are required to maintain a good DC Buss and helps in assisting when putting the UPS in bypass and back online. You can not turn on the inverter with out precharging the capacitors. Get the part numbers of the caps and replace. Make sure UPS and batteries are off or you will get shocked.

check the power cable...if it does not detect the AC voltage from the wall it will remain in the DC mode sourcing from its battery

You should measure AC voltage from the output of the transformer to the bridge rectifier, and after the rectifier you should see a DC voltage (you may also read some "ripple" AC voltage on the DC side as well). Check across each battery to see how many volts DC they are receiving (as they will all be in series connection ie one after the other). Batteries are the usual problem with faulty UPS's. You may have a problem battery or multiple problem batteries and they may need replacing.

Normally DC BUS FAULT is fixed by replacing C14 and C10. C14 is the 100uf/63V and C10 is 2200uf/16V. They are located between the heat dissipator and the logic board near transformer TX1.

there is a 100uf/63v capacitor near the IRF630 fet. You need to replace this in order to fix this error. Along there is also a 2200uf/16v capacitor. It is a good idea to change the both at the same time.
