anytime a battery device fails, yell , to the sky, the battery went bad again. and again... like they ALL DO.
Hey there maybe a 'automatic timezone' option enabled under the date and time settings. See if that's there and if so untick it and you should be able to define the time zone.
Tablets are not constructed to allow changing of the battery. The cover of the tablet would need to be removed and the battery will be connected with soldered wires so you need some electrical soldering skills and tools. Even then, getting a matching battery as a replacement will prove difficult.
