Panasonic "Plasma" TC-P42X1 turns on, dimly lit horizontal grey lined picture, Red light stays on, No Blink codes, then turns off after about 20 seconds. Replaced the SU & SD buffer boards...nothing.

The TCON board or the LCD panel is faulty. can confirm by replacing TCON board.

I have a panasonic model number TC-P42X1 and i have no picture or sound. and the red light flashes every 4 seconds none stop

I had a similar problem with my Hisense TV and I replaced the "Main Board". Got the part on ebay. Don't know if this will help.

Panasonic hdtv, TC-P42X1, no picture, no sound. Power light flashes 10 times, pauses and then repeats. TV will not come on.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.The tv will be resetting itself back to the factory setting.Now the tv should be working again.If it still have the same problems.The tv have a power supply board problems.That the board,where the a/c power cord plug into it.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

try the aspect ratio adjustment there should be a button on the factory remote that says aspect or pic size try 16.9 or full
