Acer aspire 5310 Wireless LAN indicator light on windows 7

That sort of comes with a OS upgrade, in upgrades from XP to Win 7, I'm supprised that's the only thing that is a issue. I upgraded a old gateway (2005) from XP to Win 7 Pro N 64bit. and had some hardware issues to deal with. Consider yourself lucky. You can get use to it or search endlessly for a fix. Try the Acer forums, you may run across the issue.

Most late model Acer Aspire laptops have G or N WiFi included in the computer. My Acer 3680 series has it built in (G) and I added a D-Link N card to it to speed things up.

There should be a switch on the front or a Fn Button that turns on the WiFi.

When I'm trying to install wireless LAN for my Aspire 4720Z, it didn't work and it said my adapter driver isn't installed. Meanwhile, I downloaded the driver from acer website. What should I do?

Maybe you didn't installed the correct driver for you acer's type, try reinstalling it, or try downloading another WLAN software

Where is the wireless switch on a Acer Aspire 5735Z? I want to switch it ON

On the Aspire 5735Z, the WLAN button is on the far right side of where your laptop's power button is. That strip of buttons and lights above the keyboard area. The farthest button to the right is the wireless power button.

WLAN problem

Hi,
Yes this is an OS problem. Mostly laptop vendors like ACER expects that the OS is Vista or Windows 7.

And these OS have default drivers of WLAN but unfortunately Windows XP don't have these drivers.

So you have only two options.
Either to upgrade your OS or to search for valid drivers of WLAN of Win-XP on Acer's website.
