Check the pins in back there should be two pins in the back or under the seat that you pull out to push it around your garage or whatever and the should be pushed in to mow. that seems to be a fun trick to play on people around here.

Testimonial: "i just removed the fan covers and found serious play in the belt, 6" or more, removed rear tire to inspect, looks like the slack adjuster is not doing it's job, i am going to replace belt and hope that works looks a little worn 3 years old thks"

Machine will not move

I believe your drive belt is broken, or just fell off pulley . Look under mower and follow belt direction. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Sounds like you have the belt running in the opposite direction. You need to Change the way the belt is routed around the pulleys

Mower starts and runs but won't move forward or reverse and brakes don't work.

If your transmission is automatic on the drive axle, look for a small lever inside the frame and below the seat. It can be hard to find the first time. This lever disengages the drive inside the auto gearbox so the mower can be pushed by hand. If the lever is not not moved, pushing the mower also tries to turn over the engine making it impossible to move. With the lever moved accidentally the drive is disengaged and the mower won't move in either direction. The lever operates a flexible cable that comes out from the auto transmission.

Engage gear but does not move how would you adjust levers

If you have different levers for direction and speed, try starting mower, with transmission in neutral, move the speed lever to fastest speed and back to brake position, then put in forward and move speed selector to any position, this should work.

RIDING LAWN MOWER STUCK IN GEAR

Have someone to rock you while you attempt to move gear shift. Hopefully it is only stuck between gears and will disengage. Your grease in gearbox may have become hard causing problems. If you wash the gearbox with water when hot (after mowing) You may have created moisture in gearbox causing major damage to transmission.
