SOURCE: Need replacement speaker cables for dav-hdx576wf

Since noone else gave you a good answer I will. I lost some cables to mine a while ago and found this awesome jerry rig solution; Go to radio shack, and ask for '14-16 gauge star ring terminal connectors' Should come in a pack of 10 and be about 2$. On the back of the unit where these connectors fit, there should be two prongs. You will need two star-rings for each connector slot. Wire up your connectors and crimp the ends LIGHTLY with a pair of pliers. The star-ring connector connected to the negative wire should be inserted to the left prong, (left if you are facing the back of the unit), and the right prong is the positive. If you did everything correctly, you should be able to make your own wires for sony stereo systems whenever you need to. Saved my ***, hope it did the same for you. Here is a link to what they look like. http://www.shopping.com/radio-shack-non-insulated-crimp-on-star-ring-terminals-10-pack/info

I have a Sony DAVDZ150K home theater system. It displays DEST error. What is remedy please.

Not sure. General advice is 1) Try cold start (unplug, let set for several minutes, replug and try) 2) Try a reset (page 72 of user manual) 3) check any cabling. The troubleshooting in the user manual does not refer to this specific error.

How to fix push power protector Sony DAV-DZ870W

try disconnecting all speaker wires from the main unit, then turn it on. If it still goes into protect - then the amp is blown and you need to replace the main board.

MY SONY HBD-DZ810 HOME THEATER IS CONSTANTLY SHOWING PUSH POWER PROTECTOR

The "PROTECT" and "PUSH POWER" messages will flash alternately when the protective device of the amplifier has been activated because a strong signal was input, or if there is a short-circuit detected. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn off the system, and check the following items after "STANDBY" disappears.

1) Are the + and - speaker cords short-circuited?
2) Are you using only the specified speakers?.
3) Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system?

You may also refer to the following link for additional troubleshooting steps.

PROTECT and PUSH POWER flash alternately on the amplifier screen

This indicates that you have a blown output amplifier or shorted speaker wire. Disconnect all the speaker wires and try to turn it on once more. If it shows the same display give it to a service

Getting an error display as "Push power protector" in my Sony Home theatre - DAV DZ777. what is the solution.

Turn off your unit at the power button. Check speaker outputs for a short circuit - also check other end of speaker cables for a short. If you can't find an obvious problem then disconnect all speakers and power up the unit. If all is OK then connect speakers one at a time (this should be done with the unit powered OFF) and power up after each conection. This should identify which output is causing the problem.

If that does not work then it's an internal fault that will require a service engineer to identify - but I hope that is not the case!

Just purchased the Sony DAV-HDX285 and hooked everything up correctly. The only thing I added more speaker wire. When I turned the system on the Protector light Push Power came on. I returned the system...

Protection is usually a speaker wire shorted somewhere. Does that suggest something? Did the two units function okay BEFORE you modified them? Or afte ryou disconenct the speakers?
