Check the paper tray, make sure the paper guides are snug up to the edges of the paper. Even a small gap will cause miss alignment of the printing.

Testimonial: "thx, I will try it tomorrow. It looks like the picture is of the underside of the printer. Is that correct ? are there any screws that hold it in place?"

thx Kevin. I cannot see how the side guides can be adjusted, but there is definitely enough space on the sides t allow the paper to be pulled in crookedly. I did my best to clean all the rollers. Any guidance on how to adjust the side guides?

slide the bar circled in the image until the paper is boxed nice and tight but not so far that the paper starts to curve.

Disregard my last statement. I looked again and slid the left hand guide (you circled) flush with the paper. It seems that the print is now about the same, tilted. top left closer to edge than bottom left, and lower right much closer to edge of paper than top right.

The guide itself is a bit loose in the tracks. do you think that is a replaceable part and, if so, where I could get one --- 'new old stock' for sure.

thanks a lot for your input

still printing tilted, I would like to fix it cause I have lots of ink for it. The ink cost more than a new printer for sure.
Thanks again for trying to help

HP deskjet 920 c crooked feed

there should be a rear panel to remove and check to see if there is any small peices of paper caught in the rollers or obstructing one side, if not the grip on the the roller is worn or the paper aligning bar is open too wide and allowing the paper to tilt. This is a more common problem with shiny surfaced paper, so try a more matt rougher quality paper.

My Konica Minolta bizhub C250 seems prints about every 10th page crinkled and crooked. I can hear it going through the machine and crushing a crease in the paper as it prints. The printed also seems to...

The paper may not be feeding straight out of the paper tray due to poor stacking of the paper in the paper cassette. try another paper tray or check the paper in the paper tray for folded over papers usually near the bottom. Also try feeding paper from the hand feed tray on the left side. This uses a different paper path.

then you have to adjust the paper, it might be that the printer pulls one side of the paper in first making it look tilted.

Alignment page is printing crooked

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Make sure the paper aligning slides are tight to the sides of the paper. In the case that they are spring loaded make sure there is not something preventing them from holding the paper properly aligned.
The print head could be 'off-track'...
If the text is properly aligned on the edge of the page, but appears crooked it is related to the print head assembly. If the text is not aligning to the edge of the page then the paper is not feeding straight and the paper aligning slides are at fault.
It is also possible that one of the paper feed rollers are not grasping the paper and it is forcing it to one side as it pulls it in.

2nd side crooked

I would have to say that there must be a same piece of paper touching the paper as it is being feed through the duplex ass'y. The best thing to do is to see if the copy gets tilted toward the front or rear of the copy/ copier. You will be able to find where the obstruction is in the dupex path.

Misaligned Printing

if you do an internal test page ( there should be a button on the machine you push for this function, I'll give you the link for the manual in case you don't have it) does it come out crooked?

the alignment of cartridge is to make sure the colors are o.k. not for paper alignment.
if the internal test comes out ok then the problem is with the paper path, are the guides snug against the paper ?
if the internal test comes out crooked then the problem is with the scanner or board.

Auto feeds crooked

Are we talking about a paper feed problem from the paper cassette tray or the Auto Document feeder on the top. Either way, check the the paper width guides, or if it is the paper cassette tray, remove it and check the paper pick up roller locking clips.
