My Select 300 EZspa pumps bad. Air valves off, the jets emit bubbles, water, then another burst of bubbles. I spoke to EZ spa and they sent me a new pump. I replaced it and have the same problem.

Sounds like you need to bleed the air out of the system at the filters. There should be a fitting on top of the filter housing. Turn spa on and slowly turn the fitting counter-clock wise. Water should start bubbling out. When you get a steady stream of water, retighten the fitting. You should now have a steady spa operation. Be sure you have opened all the cutoff valves in the access door. Before you perform the above procedures. I hope this helps.

Does anybody have a video link on how to flush the cooling system on a GM 3.1L SFI OHV 6cyl motor? I need a vid for this particular motor cause mine is still overheating & i have looked everywhere.

flushing a cooling system is the same method as any other motor

do it without the thermostat fitted
or water pump opening

sacrifice an old radiator hose to adapt a garden hose fitting
for radiator flush

air in system fix
your thermostat housing has no air bleed valve
no top radiator cap

old school way
heater on full
run motor till thermostats fully open
burp radiator hoses
wait till water is running up into over flow bottle without bubble
replace cap
turn off heater
correct level in over flow bottle

why still over heating
you fitted everything i would have ... yet still overheat
possibles
leaking inlet manifold gaskets
hose clamps loose
cooling fans spinning too slow
thermostatic fan switch faulty
aluminum radiator is a big one
air ..fins bent or some water channels blocked

or possible head gasket leak

Have a 10 year old salt water pool with a PH1 Dura-Glas pump which is now not pumping enough water. Have recently fitted new filter etc. Does the pump head wear on this model and if so where do I...

If you had a crack in your basket then you may have a plugged impeller. You can reach the center of the impeller with a screwdriver and needle nose plier from the hole inside the pump pot.
If not you may have a problem with your impeller or the small "O" ring on the difuser. For this you will need to take the pump apart at the band clamp. Good luck.

As the pump is running try spraying all the fittings with soapy water and look for bubbles. Hope this helps. Good luck.

White smoke coming out tailpipe

If your intake gaskets are leaking, when you dump soapy water on the gasket, it should bubble like crazy ( when it's running). If you can, run it with the rad cap off and watch for bubbles. If it keeps bubbling, you probably have a head gasket problem.

1990 Subaru Liberty Overheats

Hi,

I had the same problem with my 1993 Liberty LX. Remove the thermostat (located inside bottom radiator hose engine connection - take the connection off and thermostat is inside). Reassemble (minus thermostat), reconnect bottom hose. Slowly (very, very slowly) refill the radiator and remove the bleed plug ( located beside the top hose connection to the radiator - a black square plug with a phillips head cross in the middle). When the radiator is full and clear water (no air bubbles) is coming out of the bleed point, replace the bleed plug and then the radiator cap.

Run the engine for five minutes (approx) or until normal engine temperature is reached. Allow the engine to cool down and recheck the water level - fill if necessary ensuring that the bleed plug is open and clear water is coming out of that point. Replace Bleed plug and then radiator cap. Run engine for five minutes (approx) and then test dive. If the engine overheats keep filling the radiator until there are no air bubbles coming from out of the bleed point.

This fixed my overheating problem. Good luck and safe motoring.
