My home phone doesn't have a dial tone

Hello, my Panasonic phone has no dial tone! My phone is not on mute and the volume is all the way up. What should I do??

If you can, check the line to the house. It should be mounted to the house outside.It will have a jack to test there. If no signal with good phone, call your phone company

I have a panasonic cordless phone modle # KX-TGDA20. The phone has no dial tone. It is on mute and I can't get it off. I have unpluged the phone but no change.

See itf you can find someone who can try a different phone on that phone cord.
It may be a bad battery, or the phone line may be dead.
That is why I suggested you try another phone to see if a dial tone will come through that one.
If you get that dial tone on another phone, then suspicion a bad battery or battery charger.

Why can I hear a dial tone and the person on the line but they cannot hear me?

There is a mute button on the phone. It is located under the volume control button.1st button of three to the left. It is also possible your handset to the phone has gone bad.

I am having problems with my phone not ringing It sayes it is muted please help

make sure phone is off (no dial tone or caller) , then hit program it will say directory arrow down with the volume key until it says ringer tone. it give 4 options for ringer tones and off hit select (and choosing a ring tone)

When makiking a call from my LG flip phone, I cannot hear the phone ringing at the number dialed?

Hello,

this is beause the dialling tone was muted. Go to your phone setting and increasee the volume of your key pad tone.

Rotary tone on GE 6.0 cordless phone won't turn off

From the Handset Setup Menu:
1. Press the caller ID-volume ( 5 or 6) button to scroll to the TONE PULSE sub-menu.
2. Press mute/program button to enter the menu. TONE/PULSE 41TONE 2PULSE shows in the display. The default setting is “1 TONE”.
3. Use the touch-tone pad or caller ID-volume ( 5 or 6) to enter 1 TONE or 2 PULSE.
4. Press the mute/program button to confirm. You will hear a confirmation tone and your selection shows in the display.

The Expert was not able to help me. He read the same manual I did - I still can't get my phone off phonebook or get a dial tone. At times my intercom phone will say, "line in use". J.

Cannot call out or answer a call

The only thing I can think of is you may be in the wrong dial mode. If you do not have touch tone service you will hear the tones but it will not connect. Try setting it to pulse and see if you can call out. Check you volume or see if the mute has been set. Have you tried a different phone? you might want to borrow a phone from a neighbor to see if it is a service problem or just your phone.

The KX-T7730 is a proprietary phone that needs to be connected to a Panasonic phone system. It sounds like you took the phone home and are trying to use the special features. These phones are "dumb terminals" everything is performed (and stored) at the control unit.
