Slim jim works all the time. This may sound nuts, but I proved it to work. If someone has a second key fob and a cell phone, have them click the unlock button several times really close to the phone. You get real close to the antenna and watch the doors unlock. This , of course works when you're stuck in a parking lot and the other key fob is miles away.

The parking paul or rod needs a return spring to retract it away from the parking drum.After you select the ranges !

Well to place a call on Park:
-> you should answer the call -or- be on a call
-> press FEATURE 7 4
-> then look at the display as it will give you a park number
Anyone can pick up a phone now, then dial that park number which you've seen - to answer the call.


To Transfer:
-> you should answer the call -or- be on a call
-> press FEATURE 7 0
-> then dial the extension you want to transfer to...
Now you can either stay on the line to tell the person who you are transferring and then hang up the phone -or- just hang up after dialling the extension to complete the transfer.

the same thing happen to me you have to take the plastic shifter knob off the plastic pice inside broke i bet

I have a 2003 Kia and mine did this same thing. They replaced some switch in the brake and gear shifter. It hasn't had a problem since.

sound like your brake switch or the fuse.
you have to step on the brake to take it out of park and if it doesnt see that the brake is being pressed it wont unlock the shifter
