You need to know the name of the update. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_update/updates-trying-to-install-over-and-over-again/2a624908-f4b1-46d8-87ed-caa09674ff4f try this
you guys are going to love me. lol. i figured it out at least for mine. $ ) 1.start by unplugging the tv and everything plugged into it(make sure the only thing plugged into the tv is the power cord). 2. next plug in the usb flash drive with the update or a compatible version of the firmware.
3. now while holding down the up arrow button on the tv remote, plug in the tv and keep holding the up arrow while pressing and holding the power button on the side on the tv until you see the light on the tv go from solid green to solid red and yellow flashing lights. once you see this just sit back and wait a few min for it to force the update and it should turn on when its done.
let me know if this works for you as well or if you need any clarification. also know that step three is a pain to do alone and must be all done within a short period of time preferably at the same time.
Hello! This is a tough one. I've seen this recently and had to just press and hold the power button to shut down. Not good!
I'm assuming you're using Windows of some sort since it shows "Stage 3 of 3" when it does updates during shut down.
What has happened is you downloaded some sort of "fix" from Microsoft
and it's getting stuck while trying to install. I've had this happen
and have never found a good solution for it.
1. Turn you computer off. 2. Turn your computer on 3. As soon as the power comes on, start pressing F8 repeatedly. 4. When you get a black and white menu, use your arrow keys to move up and down, select "Last Known Good Configuration" and press enter.
What the solution I've provided does is revert your computers software to a point in the past, hopefully just before you received the screwy update.
Please count light flashing again. Light flash time is "0.3 Sec" and there would be pause (light Off time) for "3 Sec". Start counting after pause to next pause.
