I have whirlpool oven akz451/ix/01. My element is square when I look for a new one they are all round ?? Will this work in my cooker ??

whirlpool service center /agent will have a correct element for your unit
the shape is probably for a more even heat distribution in the oven as it will cover the floor/ top area of the oven better

Oven takes too long to start or not at all

is this electric or gas? if it is gas and a newer model it has an ignitor that heats up that will then ignite the gas burner, the ignitor is bad or you may need to inspect and clean the gas ports on the burner as they can get cloged up over time, try the inspection and cleaning first. If it doesnt appear to be cloged then turn on the oven and watch the ignitor, if it doesnt heat up to be white hot then it is bad or going bad and should be replaced. if it is electric check to see if the heating element is working by turning the oven on and watch for it to glow red hot, if it doesnt then it will need to be replaced.

Gas Pizza Oven - Heat issues

Many of the Pizza ovens require ceramic plates that line the bottom surface of each oven. These ceramic plates absorb the heat and retain the temperature. I never used our ovens with a bare lower surface, always applied the plates for even heat and distribution.

Nothing on the oven works, however the burners work on top, but when we turn the oven on nothing happens I even grabbed hold of the heating element in the stove and felt no heat or burn myself or anything

Check the thermal fuses / sensors mounted on the top exterior of the heating chamber and also the heating element. Both accessible from the rear of the oven. The element is most likely to have gone. It will be a 2 or 3 turn coil type with the fan mounted to the middle of it or a flat element with no fan. You will need to check the number of turns of the coiled element and also the mounting holes to ensure you get the right type. Turn off the mains power at the breaker or distribution point. You can get to the element behind the rear plate of the oven cavity by removing the side shelf slides, and rear panel by undoing the securing screws on the plate (2 or 4 depending on the exact model you have). Often a good idea to take a photo of the element mounting and take the model and serial no of the oven so that you can take this to the domestic appliance shop or email it to an online supplier to make sure that the element they supply is correct for your exact oven.

Oven doesn't heat up

Hi, Even though your igniter is glowing it's bad..A igniter should glow brillient yellow for it to be able to light the gas...basically whats happening in your case is although the igniter is drawing the correct amps to open the gas valve it is not getting hot enough quick enough to light it..change the igniter and you should be good to go. Good Luck!!! Mike

Delonghi range oven

Bake- Normal convection- both upper and lower heating elements.

Conv. Bake- Semi-forced convection- both upper and lower elements, heat is then distributed throughout the oven via the fan.

Broil- radiation- The heat is radiated by the ifrared broil element.

Broil & Fan- Radiation and Ventilation- The radiated heat from the infra-red broiling element is distributed throughout the oven via the fan.

Oven bakes unevenly and burns food

When foods are burned, soggy, or baked unevenly, it generally means heat isn't being distributed evenly throughout the oven, its escaping out the door or the controls are out of adjustment. 1) Remove any aluminum foil from racks or the bottom of the oven. 2) Check the door gasket and, if necessary, have it replaced. 3) Be sure nothing is obstructing the vent. 4) Reposition the oven racks so baking pans aren't too close to the heat sources. 5) Check your baking pans. If they're dark, they may be burning your food. Reduce temperature by 25 degrees F when baking in dark metal or glass pans. 6) Recalibrate the controls.
