To 'mount' an sd card would be to insert it. The computer should recognize the new hardware and provide you with options on installing the drivers needed to use the card and options on what you can do with the card once drivers are installed (Import Pictures, View, Open, Etc.) the sd card will be mounted or installed.

To 'Unmount' or eject your sd card - you can do it if there is an icon that accesses the eject media option on your taskbar. Simply click on your sd cards name and click 'eject'. The computer will execute the necessary steps and then inform you via a prompt that the device is 'safe to eject'.

To 'Unmount' or eject your sd card via File Explorer:
- Open File Explorer
- Open This Computer
- In the field with the icon for your Hard Drive should be an icon for your sd card. Right click your icon.
- From the drop down menu click 'eject'.
- Allow the computer a brief period to prepare the device for removal.
**simply ejecting sd cards is not good for the device. Basically weakening the drive and making it more susceptible to crashes, etc. Eject properly is the rule of the day.
- Your computer will display another prompt informing you that the device is safe to eject.

Mobicel Tango does not show mount sd card

Well for anything other than moving apps themselves, you can just set the specific app to save files to the SD card. Now if you are wanting to move apps to the SD card and have them run from there, you would need to do the following...

How to turn external SD card into internal storage on "Marshmallow".

NOTE: Please be sure you start with a blank SD card. It needs to be blank because when the card is converted to "Internal" storage, it will be formatted (wiped) and encoded (making the cards data only readable by that device).

1. Go to device "Settings", then select "Storage".
2. Select your "SD Card", then tap the "three-dot menu" (top-right), now select "Settings" from in there.
3. Now select "Format as internal", and then "Erase & Format".
4. Your SD Card will now be formatted as internal storage.
5. Reboot your phone.

NOTE: If you don't reboot the phone, many things may not work correctly, so make sure you do.

All of a sudden my dragon touch has lost all of the apps were on my sd card what can i do

Go to Settings>Storage>External SD and look for the *unmount* option. Touch *unmount*. This will electroncally close the SD Card connection so it can be safely removed from the slot. Then remove it from the slot. Then clean the brass contacts with a little piece of toilet paper. Then slide the SD card back into the slot.

The device should automatically *mount* the card. If it doesn't and there is a mount option shown then touch *mount*. If it still doesn't work then chances are your SD card went bad. They do that sometimes.

I have tried to mount the storage card but my tablet is still not saving to the card & my son cannot download anymore games. Please help!

Have a look under settings and storage. It should give you the option to save to the sd card. It will also offer you the chance to mount the card.
If the SD card is not mounted, perhaps you need to format it.

How do l mount a sd card on my zeki tablet TBDG734B

Mounting is done automatically by the device in most
Android tablets.

For an Android, all you have to do is insert the SD card in the slot and it will be mounted automatically. If you want to remove the card, though, you need to *unmount* it. You can unmount in Settings>Storage>External SD card and will see the unmount option listed below it. Touch it and then you can remove your SD card without the possibility of corrupting the files.

Mounting sd card to a new phoenix hipstreet tablet

Look in Settings/Storage/SD Card and see if you have a Mount option when you insert the card. Make sure the card has gone all the way into the slot and has clicked into place. Make sure the size of the SD card you are inserting is supported by your tablet. (Check the specs in the full manual) If the SD card is larger than what is supported, it may not register with the operating system. Try formatting the SD card on a PC with a card reader and then inserting it into your tablet. (Use FAT32 format).Try another formatted SD card and see if it is recognized by the tablet.

Maybe the SD card is damaged.
Try if it is working on a different device or computer.

My SD card is giving me problems.

SD card may be full, or mounted in "read-only" mode.
Try another sd card first to see if the old sd card is in fact the issue.
You may need to contact your service provider to ensure downloading has no restrictions.

Can't move things to sd card

One question. Were you able to move apps to the sd card before?
When you go to settings, storage, does it show the external sd card? I want to explain something first. The sd card is an expandable storage card, but it won't store your apps. If you want to check it out just insert the old memory card in a computer and look for any apps. Smartphones usually comes equip with 2 types of storage:
1. Internal phone memory: which could range from 500mb. to 2gb. of storage. This will be by default the location where the apps would be saved.
2. Internal SD Card: this is an expand storage that is already in the smartphone. Notice that when you see an ad for the phone it usually advertise whether it is 4, 8 or 16gb. That is the internal SD storage.
The third option is the external micro sd card, which is the one you are having problem with.
In storage under settings, see if you have an option to mount the sd card, maybe it's not mounted. You can also clon or copy everything from the old sd card to the new sd card using a computer, and then try it again.

Change my SD card to a bigger space, and my phone it says,SD card blank.

You have to mount your sd micro. Click your menu key on the bottom left of your phone. Select settings, then scroll down and select "SD card & storage". There should be an option to mount the SD card. Select that and the phone will install what it needs to have on the card. You should now be able to use your card. I hope this helps.
