Some games are connected to Game Center and some are not. You will lose data on some and keep data on the others.

Just guessing, maybe you have to log into icloud.

all apps require the code and the code is your apple id if you type it in wrong it wont work.

You have to use the Apple iTunes store password you set up.

You will have been sent an email with a link to verify

Firstly do not worry.
Your apps are safe as are your games if you downloaded them from google.
You need to do the following:
Make sure you have a note of your google account details including your login.
Make sure you have the details you need to access the internet, including account, email, login and any access info you need for the router or hub if you are using one.
Perform a hard reset on the device.
Log into the hub if required.
Log onto the internet.
Access your google account and go to 'My Apps'
Re download all your apps and games.

There are many apps that offer a free version (with limits) and a paid version (full version) but there are also thousands and thousands of free apps that are full-featured.

I have also used AppShopper to snag apps on sale, and so get the full-featured versions when they're free for a day.
