SOURCE: I want to convert to natural gas.

The only thing you can do if Weber doesn't have a natural gas manifold for their grills , is to buy one that will fit. They use propane on outside grills because of the stability of the gas. Natural gas will blow out much easier.

SOURCE: Converting Weber from LP to Natural Gas

On the weber model you need to purchase the natural gas model. It will cost you alot more to buy all parts needed to convert. Weber doesnt want you to convert do to safety reasons. This is why they will only tell you you can't convert. Buy the right grill and save yourself a headache.

SOURCE: Natural gas grill needed to convert to propane

The interior of the cover on my nat. gas grill is separating from the exterior. The edges have become loose and are slowly flaking away. can or will this separate from the exterior portion?

SOURCE: I have a Weber Silver

Weber stopped selling conversion kits due to some legal action in 2008. There are no longer kits available. What you would have to do to covert it is order a replacement gas valve for the NG version of your grill just to get the orifices. Then you have to replace the LP regulator with a NG regulator. Typically most NG grills do NOT have a regulator but local building codes will require a NG regulator and a different gas line hose.
Conversion of a BBQ gas valve to NG is a matter of drilling out the orifice to a larger hole in an LP orifice.
You will not find anyone that will perform this conversion for you due to legal liabilites.
If you want to convert it... you will either have to order the whole gas control valve for NG or drill out the orifices yourself in your current gas valve hoping your got the orifice hole size correct when you drilled it. Mind you all liability for doing this lies solely with you.

Can it be converted to natural gas?

A person can convert from LPG to natural gas by drilling out the jets with standard numbered bits.
For those of you interested, you can find all of the info you need from Questar's "Good Practices" document:
http://www.questargas.com/brochures/59060_401.pdf

The table on page 130.
Things to take note of:
  • BTU's of your grill (BTU of EACH seperate burner, and also the total) My total was 46,000. 3 w/ 12k and 1 w/ 10k
Your elevation - mine is 4350'
Gas Pressure - mine is 12.60
Total Cubic Feet per Hour - CFH

The CFH is what tells you the Orfice Size you will have to drill. For instance, the 3 burners on my main range were 12,000 BTU's each, and had 11.19 CFH. This took a size 55 numbered bit. The sideburner, or "pots and pans" cooker is 10,000 BTU, 9.325 CFH, and took a size 56 bit.

There are other sites with information as well.

Wanting to change propane stove to natural gas, need parts to do that

Most ranges can be converted with the orfices being changed.Newer ranges have the orfices under the top.Older ranges can be convetrted by drilling the orfices larger.(propane orfices are smaller than natural gas.Sears can sell you a conversion kit if you know the model and serial #.Most Gas companies will convert it for a fee.

How do i convert gas dryer to propane kenmore elite

kenmore has instructions along with the correct orfices you need to burn propane the only difference between gas and propane orfices is the hole size in the center of the orfices and there is very little difference in size propane is smaller hole because the pressure difference between natural gas low pressure proppane higher pressure

Bought a used jandy lite 2 unit. now switching from natural gas to propane. do i need to change all the orifices for propane? if so where can i purchase the orifices near tampa flroida or plant city...

Before you undertake this project, you should know that you will not just need the orfices. You will also need a different gas valve.

gas valve part number is : r0096900 for propane ($300.00+)
orfice part number: L0032900 (set of 2) ($3.00)

As you can see, this gas valve is not cheap. The lite2 is a very reliable heater, but chances are that if its been out of service, yo will also have to replace the thermocouple which will be another $75-$100.

Its very unlikely that anyone at your local pool supply store will have the gas valve in stock. They will definately not have the orfice in stock. Your best bet if you still want to proceed is to purchase these parts off the internet. Just google Jandy pool parts. then goto a few sites, search for the part numbers i gave you, and check for the best price.

The oven flame comes into the oven around the oven bake cover and all burners and broiler have a perfect flame. this is a brand new oven

Are you on natural gas or propane? If you are on propane did you have it converted form natural gas. Due to the difference in orface size you will be getting more gas flow then needed. If it was converted you need to contact the store and advise them it has a possible gas valve problem.

Can you sucessfully convert a Dayton Model 3E368C,

The orifices have to be made smaller for propane. You have to go 10 drill bit sizes smaller. Also the air gap on them burners has to be tweaked. Primary air is added to the lp at the orifice. The gas/air mix has to be close or the nasty yellow smutty stuff happens. The gas valve needs to be set for LP gas pressure and the pilot orifices need to be changed. Nothing to it old man.
