Why does kocaso scan my SD card and reset to factory settings every time I power it on?

You need to reload the firmware as it cannot find working android operating system. It also cannot find the firmware program on the SD card which needs to be blank, when you write the firmware load on a PC.

This kocaso M352 was sent to me to replace the IROLA. So where do I start? The 1st screen is for password. do I enter a new password?

It looks like this model has been used before as someone has set a password. You need to reboot the tablet to remove it.

If you have not set up a Google (or Gmail) account on the tablet, you will have to perform a firmware install, which will revert the tablet back to factory settings. As there is no firmware listed and they supplied the replacement, contact the toll free number 1-866-777-0079. They are open M-F, 9:30am-6pm EST and get a working replacement.

Need help in getting my KOCASO M736 working

If you set a pass code (or pattern) that you cannot remember, please enter the wrong password (10-20 times) until you are prompted to sign in via your google account. Please note, this will only work if you have already setup your google account on the tablet. If you have not set up a Google (or Gmail) account on the tablet, you will have to perform a firmware install, which will revert the tablet back to factory settings.

How do i install a driver for the kocaso m9100

With the M9100 and other generic Android tablets, often the manufacturer website does not support downloading a driver. I have the same model and have finally gotten it to work by installing the Universal Driver published at http://adbdriver.com/

For mainstream models, Koush's is probably better, but it didn't work with the Kocaso / MID

I've also heard MoboRobo is good, but haven't tried it.

Kocaso M1070 turns on goes to bold android screen and hangs please can anyone help my 6year old is heartbroken I bought the tablet from mighty deals in June when I had the money and gave it to my son...

Anyone from Kocaso, or anyone who owns one of these please jump in and correct me, please!

I suggest first trying the toll-free help for Kocaso: 1-866-777-0079. They are open M-F, 9:30am-6pm EST. Follow exactly the help instructions from that person first! Ignore the rest of this!

Do you know what your son did to induce the error--if anything? Do you still have the manual? Have you tried soft and then hard reset?

Use your PC/Laptop/Mac--not a tablet--to navigate to these links and downloads.

I've done some searching: Manual--Download from this link and open the PDF file with Adobe Reader on Windows. (If you don't have Reader installed, the most current version is a free download at Adobe.com.)
http://www.kocaso.com/manuals/?model=M1070

Firmware Upgrade: Their manual doesn't appear directly to indicate how to perform a hard reset without upgrading firmware. Telephone support should instruct well about that, though. See the manual on page 13--that's likely your tablet's problem! That refers the reader back to "Should I perform a firmware update?" on page 12.

I hope that firmware update isn't required: It may prove very risky--perhaps making your tablet useless.

Note the screen picture on page 9 of the manual: "Backup and reset"--if you can navigate to that, click navigate further in the menu to "Factory Data reset" (that's what my Android 4.0 tablet indicates, anyway--it's likely the same wording). Execute, (and, click "Yes, etc.") if possible: It likely isn't possible, is it?

Here's the firmware update site for the 1070 models: The procedure is somewhat involved, yet not impossible. Actually, two versions of the 1070 tablet exist--1070A and 1070B. You need to determine which one is your's. Definitely click and read "Serial Number Checklist.txt to help determine which firmware update to use. It appears somewhat ambiguous with one model. Again, telephone support ultimately should prove correct here, in your case.

Yet again, talk to a person at Kocaso first, always ignoring all of this, if possible!

I'm making a guess here: Note step 2 of the "Firmware Update Instructions.

"Turn off the tablet."

Then "Press the Volume + button of the tablet and keep it pressed. "

That point in the process likely should offer an option for factory reset, given that you can't navigate your tablet's "Settings" menus. Navigate on that screen and execute--clicking "Yes," or otherwise affirm.

Try to get in touch with the company! Online, they provide a form in 'Contact Us"--use that in place of calling, if necessary.
