The motor is not engaging and the belt does not move from the motor.

The control board lights up so I have power, but the belt does not move. I do not hear the motor at all. ALso the incline decline does not engage. I can move the belt manually when it is off or on.

SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

SOURCE: NordicTrack T5.3 belt stopped working. It's only 1

HI, its seems like the belt on the motor has either slipped off, or you just need to tighten it. best way to find out is to take off the front pannel showing the motor. then stand on the treadmill. start it and you will see the problem.

SOURCE: Nordic Track A2250 Pro stuck inclined

My Nordic Track Treadmill A2250 is stuck on the 12% incline position and it wont go back down and I have tried to reset it by turning it off, switching the reset button to off and then on or even unplugging it several times. What would be my next move?

Replaced motor and motherboard board through warranty but belt still won't work. Not even the power noise will turn on.

The motor, or a connector to the motor, or the controller is faulty. If you can measure DC voltage at the motor (up to 90VDC), but the motor won't turn, and if you can manually move the treadmill belt with your hand or rotate the motor pulley (POWER OFF) with your hand, then the motor's dead. Even IF it was replaced under warranty.

If you can't measure any DC voltage to the motor under any conditions, then the problem is in the controller or a connector. Try measuring directly at the controller board.

VF T8500 treadmill. Everything works except the belt...have combed through other replies on here..how do I check the brushes?

I am not familiar with this model, but usually, when you see red LED light up on the control board, is a sign of a malfunctioning board. You can check if your motor works but putting a 35A rectifier bridge at a 110VAC power source and connect the motor. Motors are usually 180VDC. So if it moves, it's OK. If it does, you should also place your hand on it to see if the operation is smooth. The brushes sometimes are under a rectangular plastic part on the opposite side of the small belt, or under a black round screw-like plastic. 21ccd37b-fec8-406d-bd2f-a1ea7fd624fa.png

Turn treadmill off. Disconnect drive motor wires from lower control board (Mtr + and Mtr -)

Measure across the Mtr + and Mtr - terminals with your voltmeter (DCVolts). You should
measure at least 90 vdc on a 110V treadmill and 180 vdc on a 220V treadmill.
If you are not getting dc volts out of the lower board, replace it.
If you are measuring the proper dc voltage out, replace the drive motor.

However if after you lube the problem remain, is TIME to replace the deck belt by new ones.
You must test the control board, measure the input voltage for motor, if there are voltage the motor is faulty.
measure the output from control board if there are NOT voltage for input voltage motor, the control board is faulty , replace see the block diagram

The treadmill will sometimes start and most times will not, even though there is still power. Then I will be on and the belt will stop turning. I can move the incline level but that is all.

Hello,

With the motor cover off and the power on, make sure there is a red light/led lit on the controler, if yes then press the start button then press #3 on the speed side. If not lit, you dont have power to the controller. If you had a red light, and pressed the speed button, the light should start flashing just before the walk belt starts to move. If the speed button is pushed and the light on the controller does not flash, you have a problem in the console. This is only fixed by replaceing the controler.

Sorry.

Hope this was at least helpfull, Matt

Sportsart 3200 Treadmill Belt motor problem

5v DC equals .5 mph every 10v equates to 1 mph try increasing the speed if the DC voltage increases that means the motor control is working properly, then go back to the drive motor and check the motor brushes even though you have used a DC power source. They sometimes will not seat correctly and cause no belt movement, use a commutator stone a clean up the commutator arm.

Belt will not start up and move.

The single most cause of no motor output is failure of the DC motor control. Look for any test lights on the power boards beneath the motor hood. Use caution when removing the motor hood because you may still have electricity ( capacitors are charged) in the motor area even if the treadmill is unplugged.
If you have a multimeter, you can test to make sure you have DC output from the controller spades ( Drive Motor Connectors) by clipping on them and then pressing the start key you should have a DC voltage reading if not the controller board is defective.

The motor can be tested by using a simple DC cordless drill or lantern battery this will turn the motor if the motor is good the controller board will need replacement , if not their won't be any belt moment the problem is the motor then the motor will need to be replaced. ( if you don' t have a multi meter this method of testing simple and easy)

Nordic Track Ifit Treadmill has power but walking pad not working

If everything on the display console is working correctly then we know it is either a problem with the wires from the console to the controller or the controller itself. In most cases this means you need a new controller. To verify, take off the motor hood and find the green circuit board called the motor controller. With the power on go into manual mode and push the speed up button to a slow speed. If you see an LED light with "spd ctrl" next to it flickering but the belt still does not move then we know the problem is with the controller sending the signal to the walking belt, in which you should check the wires that go to the motor. If they are connected correctly then we know a new controller is in order. If you do not see a flickering light then it means the speed signal never got there and the problem will be with the wires going from the console to the controller. This is called an upright wire harness.
