According to Sony Triage. There is only 2 likely problem. 1 is your GM board. Part# A1109407A - GM board for Ser# 9000000-9099999 and 9800001-9899999
Part# A1171842A - GM board for Ser# 9100001-9799999 and 9900001 and higher.
Or it could be your GK board. Part# A1060176A - GK board for Ser# 9100001-9799999 and 9900001 and higher.

I want to clean the projector sitting in the back as I see that there is some dust on it. I dont know if that is a good idea or not or if it will even make a difference with the image on the screen. I want to take a pc of cotton and windex to it while I am waiting for my thermal fuse. Anyone with advice?

This model does not require lamp timer reset, put new lamp securely and power up TV for picture.

Order a new bulb, easy to replace, just read the manual. In the meantime, go into Settings and change the Power to Power Saving, instead of Standard. Your bulb will work fine until the new one arrives.

It is symptom of dying lamp and tv requires new lamp.
Existing lamp in tv has reached to end of its life span and causing that problem. If lamp has not been replaced in last 2-3 years, just put new lamp in tv to get it back in business.
