Is the motor straining to run the machine? If so, it's possible the machine has seized because the old oil has solidified in the joints and preventing things from moving. If the motor is straining, do not attempt to force the motor as it could cause it to burn out the motor.

It was working now it seems to be frozen the needle part wont move

Some machines do have more than one belt, so it is possible that one is loose or broken.

Could possibly also the pedal is not working properly.

If you don't have any movement or hear the machine attempting to sew, you may have a burnt out pedal.
You should hear a slight hum when pressing on the pedal. If you don't hear a hum, the pedal is probably dead.
These can usually be ordered from the merchant who sold you the machine.

The new belts I put on my Necchi 537FA is slipping? Help Please!!

If the belts are tensioned correctly you might try cleaning the drive and driven pulley's with a little fine abrasive to add some friction.

I have the Necchi # 537 running now ,it was like you said I cleaned the old dry oil out ,however I do not have a book with it to tell me where to oil it ,can you help me ,Thanks

If it is an old mechanical machine, apply a drop or 2 of oil every place that metal rubs against metal. (Gently wiggle the handwheel and watch where things move.) Do NOT oil belts, cams, or plastic gears. After oiling the top of the machine, don't forget to take care of the moving parts in the lower part of the machine! The move the levers and dials and oil those moving parts too.

Applying heat from a handheld hairdryer may help speed up the process.

Hi, I just got a Necchi #537FA it has never been used , however it has sat for some time the light comes on ,the belt runs, the bobbin will run but the nettle seems to be locked up will not move

It's an older mechanical machine that has not been used for a long time and probably has not been cleaned or oiled. It is seizing from old dry oil. Avoid using the machine until it has been oiled or the motor could be damaged.

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

I have a necchi model number 537fa. the light comes on but the pedal and motor isnt running. you can manuely move the needle up and down, but the machine isnt running. could it be a belt?

If it is a belt problem, you should be able to hear the motor running. If you cant hear the motor running then it has to be the foot control or cord or possibly the motor.
