If both the VCR and TV have HDMI connectors its as simple as connecting an HDMI cable from the VCR HDMI output to an HDMI input on the TV.

You can google HDMI connectors if you don't know what it looks like.

OH. I have a DVD player/VCR Recorder. I have Cable TV. How do I connect DVD player/VCR recorder to Samsung Smart TV?

Unless your DVD/VCR is Upconverted to use HDMI, then you would use either the RED/GREEN/BLUE + Red /White leads to your TV and then use the TV remote to select whichever your TV names that input. If it is Upconverted, then simply plug the HDMI cable into a spare HDMI input.

Connect Panasonic DVD/VCR Player/Recorder to Samsung Smart TV

Florence, this would normally be done with a HDMI cable. The TV should have 2 or 3 such inputs. Use a good quality cable.

I have a all for one remete urc#4063b06 need code for samusung tv/vcr modelcxa192680b

There is no code for Samsung TV/VCR combo units. Try the Samsung VCR codes: 240, 045 and the Samsung TV code: 060, 427, 056, 030, 019, 178 . Program the VCR and the TV buttons separately.

Most One for All universal remote manuals and code lists are available from: http://www.oneforall.com/support/manual . You may need to change the country listed at the top of the page. Then use the drop down menus to select Universal Remote and the model. The direct link to the manual for the URC4063 is http://www.oneforall.com/uploads/support/00b313f46269f3fc78988edae4518f03.pdf .

Please note that the codes programmed into a universal remote are limited to those for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV/VCR is newer than your remote, you may need a new remote.

I hope this helps.

I connected my VCR to a new Samsung LED TV with the white ,red and yellow audio/video cable connection. The VCR is working but I put the tv and the VCR on Cahnnel 3 and it does not show up on the TV, WHY?

Hi there
To answer your question;
You need to change the input(not channel) on your tv to video input. There should be a button on your remote and/or tv called input.
Otherwise you should find it in the menu under"input source"

I bought a dtx9950 tv converter box. How do I control my tv and vcr and converter box with just one remote? I have a sony tv and a samsung vcr

You will need the codes and a universal remote. The codes should come with the remote, if not, check the web site if its a very new model tv.

TV/vcr

VCRs are usually connected in Audio-Video inputs of TVs.
Please check what input is being used in TV for VCR cable hook up at rear of TV. Select that AV input in TV by remote and enjoy.

Troubleshooting vcr

Usually one connects a RF [cable tv, Dish tv, antenna ] cable to the INPUT of VCR & a RF cable output to tv (antenna )INPUT .The reason is that if you are watching TV reception (Cable, Dish, etc) and you want to watch VCR tape, just push the tape in and it should start playing picture.
From what I understand that you are trying to say:: [ YOUR NEW TV ! ] you MUST connect to the RCA jacks, CABLE S with RCA plugs that come out of the VCR to the new TV [ INPUT & OUTPUT] jacks .When you ["" use input botton on VCR remote"" ] you are using a DIFFERENT input signal. You are not letting the TV know that you are changing the signal from RF(antenna, Cable, Dish, etc)to the RCA signal ["" I use my input botton on my vcr remote""]

How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

I had this problem with my TV/VCR combo unit (Samsung CXC1972) after losing the remote while in the dorms. I tried a few different universal remotes and dozens of codes before I tried the Philips 3 device universal remote as pictured below with code 037 programmed into the VCR/DVD button. I can't change the volume with this code but the input key switches between line in and tv. You can also change the channel, access the menu and operate the VCR functions with the code. I bought the remote for less than $10 at Walmart so it might be worth a try, and if it doesn't work you can always bring it back. Hope this helps.98fe8a9.jpg
