My Acer E5 522G is detecting my TV, but there is no picture on the screen. The HDMI cable is fine as I can use it on my V5 I have here. How do I get it fixed?

I have had this problem before and all you have to do is click on the sound button on the task bar (bottom Left) and click 'mixer', make sure that the sound is coming to the TV and if it is still not working try moving the HDMI cable in a circle while it is still connected to the TV and the laptop/computer. Hopefully it should then make sound but if the problem still persists try restarting the laptop/computer and/or TV. The cable might be broken so if the steps above to not work try getting a new HDMI cable and make sure it is plugged in properly into the TV and the laptop/computer. Hope this helps.

It depends on the ports the computer and the TV have
If both have VGA (blue) use a VGA to VGA cable.
You can also use an S-Video-to-S-Video cable
If both have DVI, use a DVI-toDVI cable.
If both have HDMI use an HDMI-to-HDMI cable.

Other possibilities are combinations of the various modes above VGA-to-DVI, VGA-to-HDMI, VGA-to-S-Video, etc.

Are there Picture settings in the TV menu?

check windows optional updates....or try booting up with tv already linked....ooo check the display settings for dpi and Hz some tvs wont go above 60Hz

hi to get picture plug in the hdmi cable into tv and pc then press FN key plus the key that has a picture of one or two tv screens along the top of the keyboard and i think for sound you will need an audio jack 3.5mm cable to connect to tv and the mic jack on your pc..im running a vga on my pc to vga on my tv and i needed an audio cable for sound or you might want to select your menu on your tv and select pc or hdmi not sure though thats what i do and it works great...hope this helps

Try adjusting the screen resolution by right clicking on an open spot, going to properties and clicking on settings. Change the screen resolution to 1024x768 or better.

Hi, i have had to solve this problem in my own home. You must have access to some HDMI output to fix this. the playstation 3 does not have auto-detect like the xbox 360. meaning if you have an hdmi then switch to standard AV, the system wont detect this. you need to hook up the system to an hdmi output, then switch the settings over to the AV output while both sets are plugged in. if you need more clarification feel free to email me! If i am not mistaken you can select the HDMI signal going out on the 663, this means you should select to have only pictures to go out as sound will have to be reproduced by the 663.
So HDMI output setup on the 663 should indicate image only, no sound.
