How do I balance drum?

My machine is leveled. I am running a test cycle with just water. The drum is hitting the sides of the machine when spinning at the highest speed of spin cycle. It started doing this after I replaced the drain pump yesterday.

Where are the springs on this model (LG WT1101CW)? I have the back off but only see these poles that the drum casing is hanging by. I did put clothes in there and am right back where I started with the OE code and a tub full of water and wet clothes.

Why is my washing machine Miele w404 making thudding noises on spin Plse?

Unbalance load???

When in spinning cycle, does your drum start shaking violently and hitting the washer outer walls. Out of balance load.....

Is your machine on level floor. Does it have a play on legs while sitting doing nothing???

Happens for every load, then may be your washer shocks and/or top coil springs have come out or broken..

Or machine drum counter weights broken and drum going out of balance.

Always out of balance

out of balance is from the tub not level and or the air dampeners on the ends of the suspension rods are broken( top loader machines ---machine type not stated --
if it is a top loader and you laid it on its side , it is possible that the tub is now not level and the dampeners have been damaged

Water pores out on spin

Take off the cover and check for any holes in the top of the plastic tub surrounding the drum . This can occur when the washer is or was previously severely out of balance and the drum rubs a hole in the side of the tub. Since the water is usually below this level until the spin cycle pushes the water up the sides of the tub, it only becomes apparent then. Another possibility is there may be a blockage in the pump or drain hose. If you still have a good amount of water in the tub due to the washer not draining completely before the spin cycle, the water will sling everywhere when it attempts to spin. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Drum hitting sides of machine in spinning cycle (unbalance)

It sounds like you may have to many clothes in it. Try to remove some or reposition them. Sometimes the clothes get pushed to one side of the drum during the spin cycle and all of the weight to one side is making it off balanced.

During the lest spin cycle ,the drum spins like its out of balance, with bad knock , viberation. even after making sure the load is balanced in the drum. even without a load or water, (empty) it still...

The machine sounds as if it might be unsteady. If it only happens on the spin it is probably slight. Try levelling it at the feet, using a spirit level helps enormously to get it level.

Small spring is hanging red clip on floor tub dose not look level water coming out around sides an top when it spins

this is one of several drum balancing spring clips and it broke or popped-off. This will for sure make the spin cycle shake the drum very much and spill water. Nedd to open the machine housing and replace/repair the spring.

The machine runs but won't spin.

Does water remain in the machine at the end of the wash cycle? Does the water pump run when it is supposed to? If not, the pump may be jammed with debris or the motor is defective. Can you drain the water by lowering the drain hose to floor level and into a bucket or pan? Does this allow the spin cycle to proceed? It is normal for the machine to test for spin balance (it will agitate further if it is not balanced). Hope some of this helps!

Kenmore he2plus vibrate very badly, it is level how do i fix this

My HE2T was making a horrendous sound during the spin cycle. It was making a loud clacking sound and the machine was moving all over the place.

There are two things to check. The first is that the feet are on the floor and the machine is level. The second is a bit more complex. Remove the three screws that hold the lower panel. Underneath the drum on each of the four corners are suspension rods. One side is attached to the drum and the other side is bolted to the bottom of the washer. My bolts loosened up which allowed the suspension rods to clack back up and down as the drum spun. You'll need to tighten those bolts very tight and then give it another try.

Attached on the inside of that cover is the troubleshooting guide. There is a manual diagnostic mode and you can step it to the spin cycle so that you can test the spin balance without having to run through a full cycle. Make sure you have some clothes in there during the test.

When in the spin cycle it sounds like the ceramic drum is hitting the back of the washer, is it off balance?

Make sure it is level and if thats correct then tilt the washer back and look up under it you will see springs and support arond the drum see if maybe on has come off or broke and that is causing the problem...

Machine drum makes loud noice in the spin cycle. Makes the same sound that a top-loading machine makes when it goes out of balance. Help.

  • Hi,
  • Try these:
  1. Balance the load
  2. Level the machine
  3. Inspect the water pump for a blockage
  4. Inspect the coupling
  5. Inspect the transmission
  6. Adjust the drive belt tension
  7. Check the motor bearings
  8. Check the drum brakes
