Popping sound solved. It was a small piece of plastic lodged near the food chopper. The plastic broke off of one of the clips inside the dishwasher; My husband took the pump assembly apart from the lower spray arm on down to the inner workings and extracted a piece of dark gray plastic. The popping noise was the plastic piece being swirled around inside the drain area where the chopper is located. No need to remove dishwasher from the cabinet, just start removing the pieces and lay them out in the order you remove them for easier re-assembly. Good luck!Popping sound solved. you have a motor coupling in this no belts,most likely you have a bad trans.tilt the machine back or take panel off,check the motor coupling but i think you have a bad trans. run your hand behind the motor on the bottom of trans. and see if any oil is there,if so bad tranny ,one more thing you can pop off the two clips that hold the pump on,remove the pump from the motor shaft,stick a jumper wire into the lid switch harness,stick one end into each outside connector of the lid switch and spin it,something could be in the pump.watch video to take off panel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwV71h86Gxw
Schaerer Siena machines can become airlocked from time to time leaving the pump running yet sounding rough. Easiest way of remedying this is by running the hot water (either by pressing the jug button or turning the hot water knob on the side depending on which model you've got) option through the silver wand. Once you get a strong water flow through this then the machine pump has been primed and you can then begin making coffee as normal. You'll notice the sound the pump makes will change as the water comes through.

Hello,It needs a drive coupler for the motor/transmission.
Unplug machine. Just lean the machine back, pop the two clips on
the pump and put it to the side. Take the two screws out of the motor
clips (usually 1/4 inch), and pop those clips off. Motor will come off.
You will see the 3 fingered white piece on the motor shaft and one on
the transmission shaft. There is a rubber coupler that connects the
two. Replace which ever white plastic piece is broken, or the rubber
piece if that is it. Make sure not to bang the white plastic piece too
far onto the shaft. The shaft should go flush with the white plastic
part facing you.
Put motor and pump back together and plug in motor.
Sounds like something is caught in the drain pump (if it occurs when you begin the cycle) or wash pump (if 3 minutes or so after the cycle begins) You can check the wash pump by removing the screen in the back.
Does not sound good. We need to find ou where the popping noise came from first. Not cooling is because it sounds like the popping noise is from that area but for sure that area. It could be a failed control board and shorted out the compressor relay.would like to go and do this yourself of have a technician like myself lead you through this? the problem is the circulation motor needs to be loosen up take a 5'16 driver open the filter on the bottom and loosen it at froom thr small hole on the left.
