Hi the grill on my zanussi freestanding cooker is not working but the oven and hob are still working and we replaced the element in the grill so it's not that

If you have replaced the grill element and it still doesn't work, there are a few other things you can check.
First, make sure that the grill is actually turned on and that the grill control knob is set to the correct temperature.
Next, check the grill's thermostat, which is typically located near the grill element. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the thermostat, as a faulty thermostat can prevent the grill from heating up.
If the thermostat is functioning properly, you may need to check the grill's selector switch, which determines whether the grill or oven is used. A faulty switch can prevent the grill from working.
Finally, if none of these solutions work, there may be a wiring issue within the grill or in the main control board of the cooker. In this case, it may be best to seek the assistance of a professional technician to diagnose and repair the issue.

Where can I get a replacement element for this unit? I called blue rhino, and I was told that it is no longer in stock. Can you help me? Thanks

You are right, I tried all our suppliers and were told that you can no longer get them. The original part # 6NPE1605 just isn't in anyones system. One supplier said I should take the element out and take it to an appliance parts house and see if they have one that will work. BUT REMEMBER - yours is a 110V and not a 220V heating element.

The grill on my Hotpoint EW 41 Electric freestanding cooker has stopped working after my wife put aluminum foil into the grill pan which then touched the grill element causing it to 'blow' and so...

The grill element should not 'blow' by just touching it - it should be earthed. The elements do gradually disintegrate over time & the inside wire element either fractures or touches the element casing causing the mains to trip. Sometimes this makes it trip just once & then stops working. Replace the element - not usually any fuse in circuit with this. Often held in by 2 screws adjacent to the element at back of oven and conections via Fast-ons- Rick

Hi - I have a creda solarplus cooker (48349) - I wish to replace the 8 bar grill element with a 4 bar grill element - can you please advise me of the steps necessary to do same - yours michael clancy

It’s basically as simple as:

Turn off the gas supply to the range.
Turning off the mains power to the range.
Remove the back panel behind the grill.
Remove the 2 power connectors to the grill element.
Remove the earthing wire to the element screw terminal.
Unscrew the grill element securing screws(s) - there will be 1 or 2 depending on the element fitted to your range.
Refit the new element (make sure it has the same mounting screw holes as the one you want to remove) then secure it.
Reconnect the earthing wire to the element screw post.
Make sure that neither of the element tags touch the chassis - check with a continuity tester of ohm meter and adjust if required.
Reconnect the power cables to the element.
Reconnect the power and check that the element works correctly.
Disconnect the mains power again and replace the rear panel(s).
Reconnect the mains power and recheck that the grill functions correctly.
Turn on the gas supply.
