Tv flicks after a couple of mins after being turned on

Disconnect the power from the mainboard the board down on the right hand side.

now short out the auto_gen with a peice of wire while tv unplugged.

after this process plug it in.
You should see a test pattern this will rule out Y-sus and Z-sus problems.

Problem will be main board.

Check the video module see if you can resolder the components, the tv have some loose connection in that video section and in the power supply.good luck.

It turned out great!!!! replaced the capacators within 30 min and $3.50 in parts!!!!!!!!!

cause: tuner i believe will cause tv to not find channels turn blue and turn itself off

need model number, also how many times does it blink?

Symptom: NO HOR SYNC
Cause: DEFECTIVE I008
Symptom: No Horizontal Sync. When PinP is called up, main picture may lock up for a 8 moment, then it goes back out of sync.
Cause: I008 defective (Sync Switch)

set is going into shutdown. what type of tv is this. lcd.. could be one of many problems.
