SOURCE: Miele G868 dishwasher - leaks from front panel air vent

Hi all,

I have had the same problem. Here is what I've done. Take the door apart (a whole bunch of screws on the side of the door). The front panel will come off and you will see a rubber tube. Take it off and blow it out. Then take the blower out (you need to unscrew the inside of the blower). Take apart the blower and clean it out.

Good luck.

SOURCE: outlet/inlet light flashing on miele dishwasher G674SC

Usually indicates a intake or drain fault - could be a plugged drain line at the garbage disposal or insufficient water coming into the unit

SOURCE: Where is fuse located for Miele G641 Plus

hi,

there is no fuse on this model. first thing to do is check the incoming power at the socket. you can also find the electronics which control the unit all behind the door handle. Check there is power reaching the control electronics.
underneath the unit there are the components like the drain pump, circulation pump, hoses, pressure switch, relay for the heating, water sump etc which are all driven by the control electronics behind the door handle. you will find about 6-8 screws holding this front facia panel on. Remove this and firstly check all the connections are good. you may find a plug has just worked loose.
Hope this helps.

Why is my Miele dishwasher displaying "Open stopcock", even though water is flowing and I've cleaned the inlet filter?

There are 2 possible main causes for lack of water, given that you have checked water availability at the dishwasher.
1. The water solenoid valve in the machine is faulty or failed.
2. The motherboard in the control panel has a fault and needs replacing.
Unless you are a DIY'er I suggest you call a serviceman

What is a stopcock

A stopcock is a handle used to slow or restrict the amount of liquid or gas through a pipe. The most common is what you turn to allow water through your garden hose.

Dishwasher is not working. The red 'Inlet/Outlet' light is flashing. Any advice please Thank you

There are a few things you can check. First set the washer cycle to Stop and turn off the unit. Next make sure that the stopcock on the inlet valve is fully open. Then close the stopcock/valve and disconnect the inlet hose. Remove the seal and then the filter (use pliers). Clean this inlet filter with running water. Replace the filter and seal and reconnect the hose to your inlet valve. Reopen the valve (check for leaks from threading problems). Make sure the valve is fully open when you try to restart the dishwasher. Check your incoming water pressure at this valve as well - low water pressure will also trigger the inlet error. Make sure the hose is not kinked.

If the washer did any parts of the wash cycle, then try cleaning the outlet side of the system.
Next clean the combination filter, drain pump and non-return valve. For the filter (near the lower spray arm), turn the handle counter-clockwise. Lift the filter out and remove all debris. Rinse under running water and use a nylon bristle brush to get stubborn stuff out. Pull back the yellow clip and open the filter flap. Clean the underside of the filter with running water again.

Remove the water from the cabinet with any container that works. Raise the locking clamp for the non-return valve. Lift up the valve and clean it under running water. Carefully check the drain pump (now visible with the non-return valve out) and remove any debris. Sharp objects may be present. Move the impellers and completely check the pump for foreign objects and remove them. Replace the non-return valve and secure it with the locking clamp. Replace the combination filter so that it lays flat and secure it with the handle. Make sure that the drain hose is not kinked.

If neither of these solve the problem, you need to call for service. The Waterproof safety system has been triggered and water got into the electrical system of the unit.

Many Miele appliance manuals are here: http://www.miele.co.uk/customer/OperatingInstructions.aspx . The manual for the Miele G641 is here: http://www.miele.co.uk/Resources/OperatingInstructions/G%20641%20and%20G%20841%20Plus.pdf . See this manual for pictures of the filters and drain pump area.

I hope this helps.

My dishwasher is stopped to work and the light "inlet/drain" is on. What should I do? Beatriz

Hi bvalim,

Check that the stopcock (Inlet Hose on Tap) is opened fully or whether the hose is kinked.

Clean the fluff filter and drain pump as described in the operating instructions

Hope this helps, if it did please rate 4 thumbs up and leaving a testimonial would be nice :-)

All cycle lights flash and then the machine stops. I tried turning of and unplugging, tried the switch on/off circuit. Pretty much tried everything. How do I reset my Miele G2140 dishwasher?

Hi there,

Well first of all you can check that the stopcock is opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions. Check that the drain pump is not clogged.

Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Miele Dishwasher G 2630 SCi fails to fill.

Debris is jammed in the valve for water ejection. It's jammed slightly open. This happened to me and it was a very small piece of plastic from the lip of a tupperware bowl.

I have a brand new Miele dishwasher which has worked grate since it was installed 2 weeks ago. It keeps shutting itself off & indicates an F13 fault. I looked in the manual, see that water is going in...

On my Miele 1220 dishwasher, the inlet filter is inside the inlet hose connector, where it screws onto the water supply. To clean it:
1. Turn off the stopcock. 2. Unscrew the inlet hose. 3. Remove the black rubber seal gently with a screwdriver. 4. Use pliers to remove the inlet filter. 5. Clean the filter under running water. 6. Replace the filter and seal. 7. Reconnect the inlet hose to the water supply, making sure the screw does not thread. 8. Turn on the stopcock slowly to check for any leaks.
