Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

SOURCE: LG SPLIT SYSTEM AC.

Fixed fault by not only switching off AC unit at power point, had to pull out plug top & lead from wall for one minute. This must allow electronics to reset.

SOURCE: WATER LEAKING FROM MY SPLIT TYPE LG AIRCON

1. Do not set the aircon too low temperature in overcast weather, this will cause ice ups and water dripping. Optimal comfort zone temperature is 24c.
2. You need to open the grill cover on the front of the aircon which unclips either end left and right with a finger pressure. You will find two filters which can slide out and should be cleaned. First tap them together to remove dust, then you can wash them with mild soap and cold water.
3. There is the third possibility that an insect has made a nest in the drainpipe. You should look on the outside of the building and locate a plastic drainpipe. You can either blow into this pipe with your mouth or get a blower. This will unblock any restriction in the drainpipe.
Goodluck and ratemeplease.

SOURCE: ERROR CODE CH5 AIRCON SPLIT LG

This error is a communication error between your indoor and outdoor unit. You can try turning the breaker off for a few minutes and restart the unit. However if that does not work its best suggested to have an authorized HVAC technician service the unit.

I have an split-type aircon (brand: Fukitsu) remote control AR-DL2. it has power and display when i put on batteries. but the aircon unit does not respond to the remote control. what do i do to fix this?...

Lift indoor unit cover and remove DC wire from display sensor. After 3 minutes again plug it and close the door. Now you try with your remote. If still problem, check your remote through cell phone camera by pressing any button in remote. If ultra light is visible thr' camera, remote is o.k. If remote is o.k, repair/replace PCB. Thanks.

Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioner not turning on.

On some remotes there is a reset button which is pressed by using the nib of a pen. Or if this does not work you should look under the cover for a manual button, most units have one, and see if the aircon responds. I suspect your remote sensor is faulty, but try the previous suggestions first.
