If the cables HDMI and Coax are connecting the same device to the TV no, one or the other. If you have a choice take HDMI . If you have a antenna and that is how you get your TV shows then it will need to be hooked to something, DVD player , TV set etc

How to hook up the TV

To use the TV as a Monitor: Use an HDMI cable from the Monitor Out on the 6006 to an HDMI Input on the TV. You need to go into the setup menu and set the HDMI sound to go to the amp and not the TV.

If you are tuning TV stations with an antenna and the TV tuner: First connect the TV as above so you can watch your other sources, like Blu-ray players. Then add an Optical Digital Audio cable from the output on the TV to an optical input on the TV. When watching antenna TV, select the input on the 6006 that the optical cable is connected to. You may have to play with settings in the TV and the 6006 to get this to work! You should be able to listen to 5.1 sound while watching tv over the antenna.

What do I do when the tv say no signal it just have a blue screen

First you'll need to make sure your TV is on the correct input. By the way, it's likely your TV is ok, unless the input you're using is defective. If you have an external antenna for over the air reception the TV must be on the antenna input and set to Air or Antenna, not cable. If you have basic cable the input must be set to cable. If you have a box for cable or satellite you can use antenna, composite, component or HDMI input. HDMI or component will give you the best picture. At this point just make sure the TV is set to the same input the box is connected to. If you still see the no signal then the Main board is bad.

Wont receive digital channels after scan non found

Hi Patrick,

You must have a UHF / VHF antenna connected to the antenna input of the TV to scan for digital channels. Most new TV's have a threaded, round 75 ohm coax cable connection for this - but yours might even have connection consisting of 2 small screws to connect a 300 ohm twin lead antenna cable instead. Use which ever yours has.

If you are using this input for the input of a cable TV "set top box" (STB), satellite STB, or similar, you will likely only find a single analog channel (Ch3 or Ch4) after a scan as the scan will only find the output of the STB - which is usually on Ch3 or Ch4 - and not be able to scan the STB channels.

Additionally, the antenna input of the TV will only provide a standard definition picture if connected via coax cable from the STB. It will only provide a high definition picture if connected to a UHF / VHF antenna and a broadcaster is close enough for its signal to be received by the antenna. The way to obtain the best possible picture (high definition) when using an STB for tuning channels is to use an HDMI cable between the STB and TV. An HDMI cable will provide the very best picture and audio signals from the STB to the TV; all over a single cable and is the recommended practice.

I hope this helps!

Hdmi cable for 40" led TV WHAT ARE THEY FOR

The hdmi cable is used to connect the tv to devices so it can be displayed on the tv. Devices such as, but are not limited to, computers, bluray/DVD players, gaming consoles, etc...

For channels, you have two options.
1. You would need to purchase a cable package from one of the options in your area. They will run a line I to your house and provide you with a cable box in which you connect the cable box to the tv via hdmi cable.

2. You can purchase an antenna and plug it into the tv. Run the channel search and you'll have those channels. Some TVs may have built in antennas but if yours doesn't, I'd go for a simple antenna from target or best buy. Or you can purchase it online.

Thanks!

How to properly connect the channel Master antenna tuner to my TV so that I can connect an antenna to the tuner. I have the CM-7001. I'm connecting through the HDMI port on the tuner to the HDMI port

Confusing question! The CM-7001 is meant to be used for displays or monitors that have no means of connecting an antenna and don't have a built-in tuner. HDMI to HDMI would be the correct way and make sure you select the proper HDMI port. Or use the other video and audio cable connections.

Is there a coaxial input on this tv?

No because it is a monitor only; meaning it does not have a TV tuner of its own.

My 42LG30 is out of warranty and has a broken antenna/cable input jack; can it be replaced/repaired? humble1

You will need to have the tuner unit replaced or have the entire main board replaced. If you have a digital box or sky box then you could simply connect up with a scart or hdmi cable to the AV or HDMI inputs, this would mean you don't need to use your antenna connection & you can then select the channels from the box.
