HP Pavilion TX1000 Series with new 500 gb hdd unable to install windows 7, after partitions on hdd, it disappears, and unable to install os

not sure what "after partitions" means. (ah, at that point in install)
dual booting?
HP disk set
or Microsoft set.?
tell what attempting and where stuck exactly.
what screen , and what error exactly.?
new 500, new in box, new to your or new for an APPLE.
if new, really new it has mfg codes on box for any special pre-formatting...

i bet the new disk is pre-formatted. (or really not new)
seen many new disk in box with antistatic bag breached.
bingo , not really new.
what disk ,? Seagate (best)

windoz hates that, (setup.exe running)
erase the new 500
3 ways.(lots really)
1: put new 500 , as a 2nd HDD in PC #2,
2: with disk-manger delete all partitions on it. its now ready.

A: using boot windows, PE disk, do same in this PC.
B: using boot cd, boot and go to repair mode,(first screen)
then using CMD prompt mode, use DIskpart, to do that.
C: using any bood Linux, live CD same PC, run pparted and erase the partitions.
I can go more, but stop.

All windows install disk, cept w10?>
will erase any windows partitions (if you force it)
but will not do it if the format is ALIEN to MS.
Alien means not fat 16 , Fat 32/ NTFS,
Alien means Apple or other 100s of systems alien to MX.
on windows 10, it will balk with any data there what so ever.
protecting the NOOBs. cure is above.

Hi,
You will need to format the disk before trying to install the OS. Download and burn something like Hyrems or the Ultimate boot disk or GParted. and use the partition tools to re-partition the hard disk and format it.

Hope this helps,

Acer asire 5920 wont boot up cant get to windows to type anything in just a black screen asking for password or harddisk password. have acer aspire 5920 system disk it works asks for recovery disk 2 runs a...

For the psswords i can recomend to reset them from BIOS but to do that you must first know them. The problem with recovery disks is solvable if you boot from an XP disc and format the C: partition in NTFS file sistem and when it starts copying files to install the windows stop the installation ( F3 or press the power button for more than 4 seconds.. don't worry you will not sustain disk damage... done it myself with the same notebook for a dozen times ) After formatting the partition C: try recovery again and it will work.
NOTE: for the formatting of the partition you must set the HDD mode from AHCI to ATA witch permits the XP setup utility to "see" the HDD. If it is set in AHCI mode the setup utility for windows XP will not detect youre HDD

Trouble adding after deleting

If this problem occurs then your ML648B needs to be formatted.

1. Connect your ML648B to your computer with Windows XP or later.
2. By default your computer will recognize ML648B as GPX MTP Device. Press the POWER button from top of your ML648B, to change it to USB mode connection. You will also see USB on the screen of ML648B.
3. ML648B will now mount 2 drives, one as Tools (as CD-Drive) and second as Removable Disk (Drive) – under My Computer on your Windows Desktop.
4. Right click your mouse and then select the Format option. When the Format Removable Disk window appears select the Start button to start formatting your MP3 player. - Tha Mp3 Doctor

Hard drive

You need to use a Windows install disk, or the computer recovery disk.

At startup of new windows installation, chose new installation and then chose the option Format hard drive.

Note: the windows install disk must be bootable, Upgrade install disk (non bootable) does not have the format option.

New player, says I ran out of space

If you formatted it thru Windows Media Player, or Rhapsody, it didnt really format properly. Make sure the device is in Rhapsody Mode. Settings>Mode or USB Mode>Rhapsody. On your computer go to Disk Management. Right Click on My Computer and select Manage. On the next window select Disk Management, under Storage. On the right side at the top of the window you will see the device listed (i.e. Sansa e250r). Right click on the device and select format. Dont select any other options, just hit Start. Your device is now formatted properly. Best of Luck.

Two problems with my mp3 player

Hi Mina. An internal memory corruption might have occurred on your player, and would need to format your player through "Disk Management" (I'm assuming you have Windows XP or Vista). Here's how: (1) First, set your player to MSC mode by navigating your menu as follows: Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode Choose "MSC" (2) Open "Computer Management" by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon, then selecting "Manage" (3) Your "Computer Management" window should be divided into 2 panes. On the left pane, click on "Disk Management" (4) On the upper right pane of "Disk Management", you should find the drive letter corresponding to your Sansa E250. The lower section also contains the drive # pertaining to your E250. Right-click on either drive letters pertaining to the E250 and select "Format". Follow the on-screen prompts. Make sure that the "Quick Format" checkbox remains un-checked. In general, Disk Management is more the effective tool for formatting your E250 and assuming the format processing completed without any errors, you may now use your player as you would. You may want to set the mode of your MP3 player back to "MTP" (if you're going to download subscription songs -- otherwise, just leave it in MSC mode) by navigating your menu as follows: Menu >> Settings >> USB Mode Choose "MTP" In case you get the error "Unable to Complete Format" or the format process is unable to complete, you may want to call the SanDisk Tech Support guys for more advanced troubleshooting (I call `em when I'm at my wit's end lol) I hope it works :)
