I reset my phone and now its asking for a previously synced Google Account to continue..I tried my account and it sends me back to that page I dont know what else to do to get past this option

All android devices have a FRP lock system.
once you sign in with a google account on the device for the first time of purchase the FRP lock is activated.
you have to use the same google account since the phone was reset or formatted.

Go to where you usually sign-in your account. Hit forgot password; reset password. enter user id and new password. When google ask do you want them to remember password for this site - hit yes.

you have to delete your phone memory to reset your email again

if you have a google account with your mobile number locked to it you can get google to send you an access code to log into your account.

Google will send a new pass word email, to your Gmail. The time stamped on that email started the 72 hour lockout.
Best thing to do, kick back for 3 days, then create a new pass word. Also will have the option to creat a new gmail account.

You need to go to the gmail logon page and pick help.
Then pick I don't know my password.
Where it says
To reset your password, enter the email address that you use to sign in to Google. This can be your Gmail address, your Google Apps email address or another email address associated with your account.

So you can have the lost password sent to another email account, other than you gmail account.
