I had the same problem with my 7 year old Sharp Aquos 37 inch LCD TV and took it to the service center and replaced the panel board which costed me around 7000 INR (USD 100) and it has been 1 year and no problems whatsoever. Service center guys told me flicker of pictures is a indicator of the panel board issue. I had no other choice but to go with the recommended option or replacing a panel board or buy a new TV.

TV turns on, hear sound but no picture. Bulb isn't coming on. TV goes off after about 2-3 minutes. Bulb was just replaced 5 months ago.

Need the model number of the set and also if any lights on the TV come on or blink when the picture goes out or not.

Thomson flat panel tv has sound but no picture (comes on for about a second then goes blank)

if you can see if the screen lights from behind when the picture apears for a second then the problem is probably the invertor or worse the screen

Picture goes blank and then comes back, it does it randomly but quite often. Other times it doesn't happen at all. There is no interruption in sound. Any idea what the problem is?

Is the sound affected too? Do you hear a clicking noise when the picture goes off? Is there a dull glow on the screen when the picture goes off? Sounds like a power supply/ inverter related fault but just to be sure.

47in Phillips-tv picture goes black still has

Could be the signal board has a bad cap, in this case it sounds like you are getting intermitten power to the inverters....when the tv goes down and of course you have audio....Shine a flashlight on to screen and see if you have a picture...look carefully. If this is the case..you have the above problem!

Sony kv35s66: No picture, just sound and red blinking

This should be a quick fix. Try resoldering the vertical IC. This is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 11 pins. It should be marked LA7837 or something similar. That should resolve the problem.

Keep us posted.

Popping sound and picture goes out

Sounds like the flyback or the picture tube. Either items can cause this. If the pop comes from the rear right side its the flyback. If the sound comes from the lower front behind the speaker grille its the tube. Let me know what you discover as I have access to any of the parts you would need.
