My Samsung UN65HU8550FXZA S/N: 02FW3CDFB01901W lost its image, but still shows backlighting and sound. How do I fix this issue without losing my tv.

One night I was watching tv and the picture just went out. The sound and backlighting remained, but no picture. I've turned it on and off multiple times and the picture is still gone. I've also un-plugged it from the wall multiple times with no success. I bought this tv new, directly from Samsung, less then 13 months ago.

Samsung TV 2016, 49 - no power, no red light, blinking backlight

It sounds like you may have a couple of issues, it's normal for the backlights to come on if the main is unhooked but the flashing sounds like bad lamps. The 5 volts is standby voltage, next step is measure the PS_On pin when you turn the set on and see if you get around 3 volts there, if you don't you have a main board issue.

If you can make out a faint image then the fault is a backlight problem.
The fault could be an inverter board or the CCFL lamp/s

Your unit has a composite output. Hook a standard TV up to this connection and try it. If you have a picture your display on the portable unit is bad. Sounds like you lost the backlight. You would need to have a tech look at this to fix it. Good luck.
