Hacking Windows XP Login Password 1. Restart your computer and keep pressing F8.

Please indicate the Model of the router you are referring to.

If its Cisco, first do a no username xxx password nnn command on the existing configuration. Then on the global configuration mode insert a new command with the new username and password. See example below:

#configure terminal
(config)# no username old-username password old-password
(config)# username new-username privilege 15 password new-password
(config)# exit
# wr memory

when you created your user account you temporarily have ROOT ACCESS.when you use the sudo command to run a install ( sudo apt-get install ) it asks for root password use your password

do a man sudo
it will explain what sudo is and does.

The only way to reset the password, is to use the Paramter "U 24". Thus the harddisk will be formatted!

I'm assuming that you have forgotten your password, if so, here is what you need to do.
1. With the unit turned off, press the power button to power-on the mac, but also hold down the "CMD" and "C" keys on the keyboard at the same time. This will tell the Mac that you want to boot into SINGLE USER MODE.
2. Mac OS will now boot into a unix command line shell. From here you only need to remember your username and then type in the following command-line statements.
sh /etc/rc passwd USERNAME reboot
In this instance, USERNAME is the username that you normally login as. The "passwd" command will prompt you to enter a new password for the user called USERNAME.
WARNING: Changing your password this way will wipe out any and all keychain passwords associated with your user account. This is a pain, but better than not logging into the box.

Hard reset properly for 30 secs. & Powercycle and try again.

PLink allows for command link execution passing a username, password and host.
To get the response to a file you could use Shell "C:\windows\cmd.exe /c batch.bat > C:\file.txt"
Batch.bat contains your plink script and file.txt is the output.
