Yes, one sub to channel one and two and the other to three and four. Ensure you set the crossover to lowpass. If you don't get the sound you want, as long as you have the correct enclosure, I would recommend an external adjustable crossover.

I got 2 10in kicker comps and the rms on them each is 150 watts and can i hook them up to a 1000 watt sony xplod 2 channel amp and do i use both channel or just one or bridge them

1st thing is amps outputs have to be properly "loaded" this value is given in "ohms" if your amp says minimum speaker "loading" impedance is 4 ohms ( I suspect it does) then you may load that 1 channel down to only 4 ohms or amp will be damaged , most speakers are rated in ohm's Impedance (look for Greek symbol for omega) look for its rating somewhere on it doing the electrical formula math if you connect two 4 ohm speakers in parallel to one channel ( +=+ / -/- ) this divides down to 2 ohms (not good) but if you take same speakers and connect in series together (+to-/+to-) this gives you eight ohms (better) , the watts rating is a figure for you to determine the amount of power the speakers will take before failure , hence just because you connect 200 watt speakers to a 2000 watt amp is no indication that speaker will take all 2000 watts ( it will fail long before that point ) watts do ADD together like the above example two 4 ohm 250 watt speakers connected to one channel of amp in series will look like ONE 8 ohm 500 watt speaker to amp of course over 16 ohms load speaker volume will greatly diminish and amps have max impedance loads for them as well although there not often published
this is why I love the old TUBE!!! amps they load all the way down to 2 ohms and go up as far as 32 ohms load with no problems , they sound better as well across the board as well

I have Sony xm-2165gtx amp 165 watt rms x 2 at 4 ohm 200 watt x 2 at 2 ohm 400 watt x 1 bridge output at 4 ohm stereo or bridge mono output 4 ohm stable in bridge mode this mean can't go lower then 4 ohm...

You can't bridge that amp onto a load lower than 4 ohms. So you can't bridge that amp onto two 4 ohm subs. To get the most power out of your subs is easy. Run one channel to one sub and the other channel to the other sub. 165 watts RMS is plenty for most subs.

I have to hook up 4 amps in my car. 4 channel 700 watt ken wood, 2 channel 800 watt Sony, 4 channel 740 watt Jensen ,and a 2 channel Rockford fosgate. Which is best way to hook them up so I'm not ki

Pace posted on Saturday, March 05, 2005 - 01:08 GMT Your subs are dual 4 ohm voice coils so if you want to bridge your 2 channel amplifier to your two subs then wire them parallel, meaning the + to + and - to - ( Do this to both subwoofers), Then run a wire from one positive and one negative on each sub and bring the two positives together and the two negatives together and hook both positives to the far positive connection on your amp and connect both negatives to the other negative on your amp,

This will create a 4 ohm load on your amp.

Although if it's a two channel and you have two subs it's usually pointless to bridge them because if you use one channel per subwoofer its going to be the same as if both subs were bridged. example) 800 watts x 1 bridged power of your amplifie (4 ohms) is the same power as 400 watts x 2 at 2 ohms.

How can i bridge a mtx 9500 using a mono amp?

You cant bridge it to the MONO AMP . You can only bridge subs & speakers to 2 CH & 4 CH AMPS that are bridgeable. Because if it appears that there is 2 channels on a Mono amp its so its convenient for you to hook up 2 4ohm subs to it easily But both channels are actually connect internally together in parallel inside the amp unlike a 2 channel they are separate.

So just connect your mtx 9500 to a plus and a minus and doesnt matter which since all the + terminals of are connected together and - are connected together already.

Whats important is on the side of the sub/box it reads 2 ohms. The lower the ohms the more power the Mono amp will put out. Mono amps are designed to handle 2ohm loads.

If it reads 4ohms The MONO amp is the wrong amp to use cause the power will be weaker. So if you have a 1000 Watt Mono amp at 4ohms the sub will only get 500 WATTS Max while a 2 ohm will get the full 1000 Watts.

If it reads 4 ohms connect it to a 2CHANNEL AMP and BRIDGE IT (connect + of the sub to 1st channels positive of the amp then connect - of the sub to 2nd channels negative of the amp) . The power will be doubled when you bridge it on a 2 channel amp. NOW if it was a 2 ohm sub and you bridged it to the 2 channel amp it will fry the subs and ruin the amp. 2 CHANNELS CANT TAKE A 2OHM LOAD BRIDGED OK.

PIONEER 300 WATT CAR STEREO AMP WIREING HOW TOO

depending on how many channels the amp is, you may not be able to hook everything up to it.

usually you have a separate amp for subs. 4 channel amp for the speakers in the car, and a mono amp for the subs.

To hook them all up to the same amp you would need an amp with 5 channels. It wouldn't work out right.

If you have a mono amp its only for subs.

If you have a 2 channel you can either hook it up to the rear speakers or bridge them to mono to run the subs.

you need a channel per speaker basically.

SHOULD I GO AHEAD AND BUY A 400 WATT AMP?

All amps aren't created equal. More exspense amps put out "cleaner" power. You need to know what the RMS power rating is for the amp at 8 ohms and 4 ohms. Also, is the speaker an 8 or 4 ohm speaker? How you wire a speaker or speakers (series or paralell) can change the ohms (resistence) which will change the power put out of the amp. Also, I'm assuming you are setting it up in mono?

Ccan it be bridged with a 5 ohm subwoofer?

Hello cameron_cran,

The information I found on the amp is that is a 2-channel and is bridgeable. It is stable in bridged mode to 4 ohms. You should be able to bridge a single 4 ohm sub without damage to the amp.

Hope this helps.
