Tv won't give a picture. There is power but no controls work

Sections of the power supply may have gone out, or it detects short circuits in the backlight inverter board or in the power supply itself.
Those are the two areas you need to check. Look fo bad caps with leaking/bulging top fist in the power supply.

SOURCE: TV picture won't come on, just get white static

There may have some crack or loose to the circuit board during drop. Just get it serviced. No more component should be repalced. Only service should be done. OK.

SOURCE: I have sound, but no picture. It just blinks, with a faded back ground

Try to unplug set and or a box if used from power for a while, plug both back and see if a reboot that will happen helps or not.
