SOURCE: My idect D1i phone keeps asking me to register

Hi , The phones which keep saying Register mean that they have lost the coding for the Base. To re-code them all you do is
press the menu button,
Press down Button 3 times until Setting comes on the screen,
Press the Button Phone/Ok,
The Display should display HANDSET SETTING,
Press the Button Phone/Ok ,
Then Press the Down button about 4 times until Register Comes on the screen,
Press the Button Phone/Ok,
Enter Base pin ( 0000 )
The Display will show REGISTER IN PROGRESS,
then immediatly press the Handset Locator Button on the Base and hold it in until you hear a tone.

Thats it , the screen should display Register Done.

I have a idect c5i. i am unable to take calls when i receive a call. the phone keeps ringing and on pressing the call button, i get that the handset has accepted the call but i do not hear the sound of...

Check the handset is registered to the base- if your handset has been assigned a number it has. Can you call out from the phone? If you can I would advise disconnecting from the power and telephone line for 10-15 mins and removing the batteries from the handset and pressing every key (press them all individually in any order) the reconnect and see if you have the same problem, if you do and the item is under 30 days old return to the store with your receipt, if not and was purchased from Argos go to the store with receipt and they will send to Idect for repair, if purchased somewhere else contact 0845 3459677 and they will repair the phone under the guarantee providing you have the receipt.

My iDect X1 phone flashes and beeps on and off when on the charging base

The sound and flash is when the contacts on handset touch contacts on base, if the handset is positioned correctly- check the contacts, wipe them over with a clean lightly damp cloth. If the problems persist I suggest new batteries which can be purchased from Idect directly by calling 0845 345 9677- they will be posted by First Class Post and do not charge P+P.

Idect x1

Could be that you need a new battery inside the handset, sometimes wont charge properly if battery is old
