Model number is DXA655MP. It worked fine until one day it stopped accepting and ejecting cd's. At first it just wouldn't eject a disc, now it won't even accept a cd into the slot at all. I've checked to make sure there isn't anything stuck in the cd slot, but I'm not sure what else to try.

I have the same prob with mine right now and thats why I came here was to find the manual. In the manual it states that that when something like this happens you need to hold two buttons for a few seconds and what it does is it resets the cpu in the deck. I had to do it before and yes I was kind of leary of the solution also but IT WORKED!! Now I'll have to dig before posting this otherwise I didnt just create a common solution I talked about it. Ok while holding power/ATT press eject for more than two seconds, and it says careful not to drop the cd~~~DAAA Or to reset the unit: While holding SEL (select) press power/ATT for more than two seconds and that will reset the unit to factory defaults. And this was actually from my owners manual of which I found...

Reset this unit by pressing and holding the power/ATT and SEL buttons at the same time for several seconds.

I was having the same issue with my KD-S5050. I also tried the CD eject lock reset with no results. By using the following steps I was able to reset my CD player and it is working properly again. On page two of the user manual is shows how to do a full reset of the cd receiver. While holding SEL (Select), press ATT (Standby/On Attenuator) for more than 2 seconds. This will reset the built-in microcomputer. http://www.fixya.com/Brands/J/JVC/Manuals/kd_s5050_cd_d2ce2654fa2aab37f3ad2b4ce1e33443/images/KD_S5050_CD_D2CE2654FA2AAB37F3AD2B4CE1E33443_2_p2.jpg NOTES: ? Your preset adjustments ? such as preset channels or sound adjustments ? will also be erased. ? If a CD is in the unit, it will eject when you reset the unit. Be careful not to drop the CD.

you need cleaning and maintenance on your radio if you want to eject the disk theres a little tiny button on the face you will need a pin push it in and this should eject your disk
