SOURCE: Night Service and Diver All Call to Voice Mail

make sure the call rerouting always is setup and points to the vm huntgroup, then check the call rerouting assignment points the answer point extn number to the relevant always alternative in night1 and night2 mode

ie; always alternative 10 set all to Reroute and supply vm huntgroup number then program call rerouting assignment for extn during night1 and 2 to 10.

let me know if this resolves the issue if not it could be a number of other timer related / vm configuration / call routing problems which might require a more indepth investigation

SOURCE: Won't go to Voicemail

Call needs forwarded to voicemail. On mitel 3300 this is programmed in one in the call handling/ call rerouting for depending on the software version. First alternative should be set for voicemail route. If you have a mitel 200 you can do this through the superkey on the phone. Set no answer and if busy to the voicemail hunt pilot numbet.

Our school has a Siemens 500 OptiPoint 500 advance phone that has a greeting one. Can't find out in any of the manuals as to how I can go about changing it. Can anyone out there help me?

We always programme the voicemail to 555. If you have something different change what is below, which is our 'one sheet' user guide from www.dschiltern.co.uk

All Types of Phones

1. Your mailbox number will be the same as your extension number.

2. Default password is 1 2 3 4

3. Voicemail group number is 555 (unless programmed differently)

Before callers can leave voicemail messages you must activate your mailbox and record your greeting message. We would suggest something along the lines of

"You are through to the voicemail of . . . . I am sorry I am unable to take your call at the moment but please leave a message after the tone and I shall get back to you "

To Record Your Greeting Message

1. Dial the voicemail group number (usually 555)

2. Enter your password (default is 1234)

3. Keep pressing 3 to scroll to greeting messages

4. Press 8 to toggle between your two greeting messages

5. Press 0 to change the message and follow the instructions.

To leave voicemail just press 'Release' or hang up.

Responding to Voicemail

On a display phone you will see "You have messages" on the top line and "Display messages?" on the bottom line. Press tick twice to go to voicemail and then enter your password.

On Siemens 'Entry' phone or display phones with a 'voicemail' button, just press this button and enter password when asked.

On ordinary analogue phones you will get broken dial tone. Dial the voicemail group number (usually 555) and enter password.

In all cases you will then be able to listen to your messages.

To delete a message press 0. It will ask you to confirm by pressing 0 again.

Hi Tourmaster,
I have these steps for you on how to do it. Hope it helps.

1. Press the key%20messages.zoom50.png MESSAGES button. Depending on how your system is configured, you may be required to enter your voicemail password and then press the Done soft key. The visual voice menu is displayed.
2.Use the up and down arrow keys to scroll to the option Greeting.
2.Press the Select soft key or OK.
3. Use the soft keys to listen to and record your mailbox greeting.

When the Norstar m7324 phone is set to night mode after business hours, the caller goes direct to voicemail when the caller dials an extension. How do I change it so that it rings at the extension a f

Night service will only control if AA to answer (main greeting) or human, you!.
If people enter extension and it goes straight to vmail then the user invoked that option (Feature 987) which is what you should do when you leave your office.

All the calls we recieve in the office go through me. I greet the caller and then transfer them to the person they want to speak with. When I transfer a call, let's say to my boss, my boss will pick up...

Haven't you solved this yet? When we install a system, we reserve THREE buttons for voice mail functions. One is VM Transfer, one is 2 Way Transfer, and one is VM Record. In order you pick 3 buttons press PROGRAM one of the buttons and dial in order 94 500 STORE 01 500 STORE and 90 500 STORE, assuming your voice mail is on the default extension of 500. To send a call to someone's voice mail you press VMT and his DSS button or dial his extension and hang up. The outside party will get all of his greeting. If you want to prompt the user, like you would if you were taking a pink slip, you press 2W Transfer and his extension and carry on a conversation with the outside party. The message records in their mailbox as a new message. If you want to silently record into your OWN box, you press the VM Record button and your conversation is recorded into your own box as a new or old message, depending on how the system is set up.

There are other variations, including a single button transfer into someone's mailbox and some other features that are covered in you telephone sytsem OM or User's manual under Customizing your phone.

Change voice mail message from one person to another person

Step 1 Lift the handset for your telephone and listen for the dial tone. Dial the access code you were given by Verizon when you signed up for residential telephone service. Dialing the access code will call the voicemail system. If you do not have an access code, you will need to call Verizon Customer Servicemag-glass_10x10.gif (see link in Resources).
  • Step 2 Identify the telephone number you are setting up voicemail services for. If you are calling from that telephone number, enter the temporary passcode and then press "#." The temporary passcode is the last 4 digits of your residential telephone number. If you are calling from a different phone, press "*" when the system greeting starts to play, then enter the 10-digit telephone number when prompted. After this, you will be asked to input the temporary passcode.
  • Step 3 Choose a new passcode. The passcode must be from 4 to 8 digits in length. It should be easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Do not use easy to guess numbers, such as 1234 or 1111. Also do not re-enter the same temporary passcode, since it will be easy for anyone to guess.
  • Step 4 Record your name. Simply say your name, without a long complicated message. This recording is used by the voicemail system to identify you whenever you forward a message to another user. It is not used as the standard greeting when a caller is directed to your voicemail to leave a message.
  • Step 5 Record or change your personal greeting. This greeting is played any time someone reaches your voicemail box. Record a friendly greeting to announce that you are unavailable and will return all calls upon your return.
Decide if you want to set up a different mailbox for each family member. Verizon residential telephone service allows you to set up multiple mailboxes so that everyone can have his own private message center. Callers who reach voicemail will be prompted to press "1" to leave a message for one person, press "2" for the next person, and so on.
  • Step 6 Hang up the telephone. When you have finished setting up the voicemail system on your Verizon residential phone line, hang up the phone to end the call and exit the voicemail system.
