Check the printwheel for any broken or bent spokes. vertical lines means the wheel is between letters so either a problem with printwheel or something preventing wheel from turning normally.
This sounds like a vertical fold over. This happens when the filter capacitors close to the vertical IC have failed or changed value. The are very inexpensive, and relatively easy to replace. Remove the back panel. Locate the vertical IC. There will be a number of capacitors around it (3-4). I just replace them all. They cost under $1 each, so no testing, just change them.
That is a problem with your main board - some of your inputs work fine and another is bogus. The tv input is not working because there could be a defect in your tuner. If you have cable try a different input for the signal.from the box. If you are using OTA, then use an external HD OTA tuner to feed your set.
1- black lines are from the drum: it has burnt out on that particular spot and rotates
2- the white horizontal gap space if it is not you skipping space is also from the drum
3-the white Vertical is most likely from the developper (unit that has the toner and is against the drum, look at the roller it should be solid black, maybe there is something on it : hair paper etc....
This is due to vertical section failure. Change the vertical supply rectifier diode and supply filters. Then check zener diode leakage in pumpup circuit section. Also check any electrolytic capacitors leakage in vertical section. If it is old model tv change vertical height, vertical lenearity presets also. I hope given details useful to you.
I you know how to repair electronics its not a hard fix. The worst case would be the vertical output IC but im thinking th its nothing more then a capacitor in the verticle sweep circuit The average cost to repair this should be around 75 to 125 bucks. Good Luck
