How can I replace the lamp on an unidentified sewing machine?

Since the make & model were not provided, it is difficult to assist. "1471" does not provide enough information about the machine.

If you need a manual, search the internet for:
Make + Model + the word "Manual"

or contact the manufacturer of your machine.

You can search for "parts" for your machine and hopefully find a replacement bulb from an online vendor. They can also provide instructions on how to replace it.

The best bet is the owner's manual. Most lamps either skrew in or twist about half a turn and pop out. Computerized machine bulbs sometimes have to be serviced by a technician. You can probably take the machine to a repair shop and have them replace the lamp for you.

Testimonial: "I appreciate you taking the time to post an answer, but if I had an owners manual I would not be asking, or an extra $50 for the repairman. sorry, but still need to talk to someone who has a 1471"

How can I replace the lamp in an unidentified sewing machine?

The Owner's Manual would be most useful for this information. If you don't have one, search the internet for:

Make + Model + the word "Manual"

or contact the manufacturer.

Some sewing machine bulbs can be replaced easily but more and more new machines require that a technician replace them.
