GREAT question Danny Sawyer,
Most notably you can control the types of oils, amounts of sugar & salt... and highly processed flour you have in your diet.
A really good start.
When good health health is no longer an automatic GIVEN... (Ah... the joys of YOUTHFUL immortality (great while the perception lasted))... and you FINALLY realize LIFE is a terminal experience and you begin to read the the labels of the things you have been ingesting... Trusting YOUR local market to provide...!!
(forget ALL ABOUT ORGANIC (not that it is a bad thing))...
Just the LOW FAT milk (for example)... has SALT ADDED to make up for the loss of taste... Low fat everything contains MORE SALT.
Your own judgement would be better... FAT whole milk may make you chubby... Salt absolutely raise water retention, blood pressure... cause organ failures... followed soon by early termination...
It just takes a second: read those labels... Like your life depends on it (it does (I'm just saying)).
Making your own bread is a really good start...
(then those veggies... (rabbit food... an acquired taste).
Remember... you are what you eat... be well.
