Hi, try going thru every channel in manual and see if any of them 'stay on'? Next, make sure that you haven't pushed the 'Priority' as that will go to that channel every second or two. Next, increase the squelch a bit so that you don't get a sudden burst of noise. and last but not least, keep this away from a wired Ethernet cable- putting mine by a CAT5 cable causes it to stop on two VHF channels. How to setup a vocals

Turn gain CCW. plug microphone in, mute the channel. turn gain CW until peak LED flashes (while singing loud!) and turn gain back a little bit.
Take the channel fader down, unmute the channel. Put masters at 0dB (near maximum) and adjust the loudness with the channel fader to what you like.
EQ: it always depends on your location. Keep it flat. You might like to reduce at about 200-300 Hz. Cut the low end (Hi Pass Filter = on) or if no HiPass reduce "bass" for about 6...10dB.

Memorex model 1912 19 inch tv wont play cable -just stopped -cable people say its not the cable but the tv - if the tv is broken why does it turn on - it doesn't seem to be actively displaying channel...

does your menu pull up if you get a menu and any other channells its a cable problem if no menu or other channels look into getting a main board in ebay

Try changing the emitter resistors near the parts you've replaced. Also when you change out transistors it's a good idea to change them ALL out..The "supposedly good" ones may be badly stressed.
If the output line to the spkr relay has more than a volt on it the amp will stay in Protect

Well the CB you have should not cycle through channels like that for sure. It is not a progressive scan. Try messing with the channel 9/normal switch again. In rare occasions that switch will **** to the side just a tad. there is a PCB board inside that is responsible for the channels responding to the channel as the channel knob is turned. This board could be going haywire. If fooling with that switch does not take care of the issue then I would contact the person you got the Midland from immediately and have them get you one that works properly.

It turns on but keeps beeping

The constant beep means that the channel you are on is not programmed. Try moving the channel knob to other channels. If it stops beeping, you are on a channel that is programmed. It is possible that none of the channels are programmed though.

Take it to a motorola dealer and they can program it for you.

We have a similar problem when changing channels/surfing, the TV will begin to power cycle, until you unplug THE CABLE TV input, then it will turn on again and stay on as you rehook the cable and change channels....till it decides to do it again, DTV channels seem to trip it up, but not sure....if I leave it on the same channel it will run for days. Yep and the cable TV is grounded outside

The end of the IR Cable that attaches to your cable box may have to be repositioned.

Try moving it a small distance (you are already close or you wouln't be receiving ANY channel changing info. from it) and see if that helps.

Gustav, Try factory reset, to get to the Setup Wizard. With the TV on press the menu button on your remote. While the menu is displayed press the 0 button four times. This should bring up a new menu with factory reset as an option.

How would you access the tuner section? I am having issues finding the tuner, if it works, what type (qam, ntsc, atsc) as my tv is used (manf april 2015- westinghouse) and I am not prompted to enter the activation code for the tuner even after factory reset from the factory menu. Are there are other menus/ settings? If so, how do I access them?

Your tuner is unstable. All U need to do is find out what board has the tuner circuits and replace board if cost effective.
