Mobile Hotspot feature must be activated by your carrier. Many prepaid carriers do not permit tethering which is what a hot spot does.

use Hot-spot. go to settings and use wireless and configure the hot spot and use it to connect to your lap top

HI dineshahuiaa are you trying to us your phone as a hot spot. In odrer to do that depending on your carrier you would need to pay an extra charge. You need to check with the carrier. Now if you installed a program on your phone to do this depending on the app you will still have to pay to get it to work. If you have any futher questions you need to contact your carrier and have them explain exacrly what you have and don have. The samsung galaxy haves a internet browser. But i don't think it will run you pc with out the hot spot

In order to create an effective Wi-FI hotspot in your home or place of business you will need the following:

1.) A broadband internet connection, such as DSL or cable.

2.) A wireless router, Linksys makes a decent one but the brand is not really relevant for our purposes.

3.) Your laptop must have a wireless adapter on it. If it did not come with one, you can purchase one that will plug in to a USB port.
