proable solution the cooling fan is giving problems. the whistling sound most likely is fan rubbing on a wire??? The unit gets over heated and turns off for protection. Good luck

My take on this...if that pin was *shorted* to another pin in the connector and not just bent, you could be looking at a damaged video input section. The pins in the video connector consist of the 3 color signals(red--green--blue), their individual grounds, and syncing. If this has indeed happened, which is *VERY* easy to do, the projector must be repaired by a service facility.

Hello Lvhrj, Hi!, the projector unit has basically two circuit boards, one for the main board, that controls the lens, lamp, blower fans, and projector circuit controls, the second one is the power supply board, since as you mention, there is power on the projector, I suspect the problem is on the mainboard, Servicing this type of board is no nonsense, double sided and its way beyond our experience, but we do replace the entire main board, so the only solution is to replace the main board, this requires tech knowledge, if you are not that kind of person, I suggest you let the experts do it for you, call your service center, or your dealer.
