Halfords is a mechanic? If this is the case and they cannot get this out then you need a new mechanic altogether. Now, If it is the lamp in the lens and you cannot get it out I am assuming you did not remove the lens from the body. If this is true then remove the lens and it will be easier to get the lamp out. If you broke the lens assembly then broke is broke. Take it out in pieces if you have to being careful not to damage mounting points or any part of the car.

Even on high beam my headlights seem not to be bright enough. I changed the bulbs. would it be that the reflective coating behind the bulbs is worn out. thanks

That is a possibility but its most probobly not, i had the same problem (obvious question) have you tried cleaning inside and out of the headlight diffuser (cover) if you have and it still seems dim why not try the ultra bright clear white lamps you can get?

there cheap check ebay-amazon-halfords-camberly auto factors

hope this helps

Headlight won't come up

It could either be stuck, something holding it down or the motor inside the headlight case is damaged and needs replaced. Example the electric windows motor.

yes you need to adjust it find a wall that you can see both beams and do the adjustment neccesary and your on your way common when roads are not the best or you hit something lightly the headlights change position

I replaced the right low beam headlight according to the manual on a 2000 toyota corolla however when I removed the fuse box to get access to the headlight both bolts broke. The screws are under the metal...

I am assuming you want those broken screws replaced with working ones.
The solution is lots of work. You will have to dissassemble everything until you have really good access. At that point it depends on how it was held on and where the screws broke. Is part of the threaded screw still stuck in something? If so and these are small screws then it will be fairly difficult even for a skilled mechanic with hard lefthand drills and other fancy tools.
If a nut just broke off a bolt then just replace with another nut and bolt you purchase at your local hardware store. Id suggest stainless with anti-sieze in case you or someone else has to do the job again.
I am not really familiar with the way the corolla is made but I have repaired many broken screws, broken off in blind holes.

Ford focus estate diesel headlight bulb change

Halfords just did mine for £15 including the bulb. When I got there the other one had gone so I had to get both done. If you want to save money, just get one done and watch how they do it.

My car's battery ran flat and I bought a replacement. The man at Halfords showed me the three batteries available for my model and I chose a 400 amp version as opposed to the 300 amp battery that was...

Amperage has nothing to do with shape. A higher amp battery simply gives you more power to start on a cold morning. In short, the bloke at Halfords sold you the wrong shape, that's why it doesn't fit.

Headlight out? Just coincidence.
